It’s good to be a part of the thali culture at times. There are biggies out there but this place plays fair.Moderately priced at Rs.150 this all vegetarian thali is nowhere close to other thali brands. However at this price there may be instances that some of the food may taste bland. Our thali had chana,Bhindi, karela, dal, chapati, meetha kadi, khatta kadi, rice and aamras.Though everything else was served unlimited, aamras was one serving per person, but then I guess that aamras was the showstopper of the entire spread.Situated behind canon Pav bhaji and snacks near thane railway station
It is just besides Khandelwal Sweets near thane railway station. During the lunch and the dinner hours, it is heavily crowded. The thali is decently priced at 80 with extra charges for extra items. I have been here thrice and the taste of the food remains the same. Home cooked meal with less spices and less oil. Quick service and a decent taste, not that u get a gourmet meal at this rate, but it is definitely value for money at this price and a sort of a bargain. Nothing to speak about the Ambiance though as the place doesn’t even have a decent fan and not a lot of seating tables, but if you are looking for a quick lunch then this is the place to go near thane station.
I went to this place because of the bloating recommendation my parents gave me for it. Once I went there, I found out it was not even close to fulfilling my expectation. The place was decently priced, but I’ve personally had better food at the same price range. It’s not great in terms of ambiance, as it’s basically a small shack on the corner of a building, but I don’t have any qualms with that. The major concern was the bland quality of the food, the over-oiliness of most of the items, and how the gravy items, the dal and the khadi were all watered down to oblivion. This is a place that I am not very likely to visit again.
