What better place to eat strawberry, than at the OG, Mapro Garden. A branch of Mapro, Mahabaleshwar, the lonavala property is quite big and well kept. I visited during Christmas and they had a tree, trampoline and even a Santa!Tried their famous strawberry cream, Their strawberry icecream is delicious and strawberry pieces are super juicy. It is surely a delight for every strawberry lover’s sour eye! Also tried their chocolate thick shake which is passable.
The place is amazing. Located on highway. With lots and lots of delicious food. Live food making and you cam see your food preparation in front of you. A very big food court with a lot of tasty options. This is a must visit with your friends and family.
Recommended : Strawberry Cream , Assorted Ice Creams , Classic Sandwich , Wood fired Pizza , Sizzling brownie with ice cream Must visit place when your are in Panchgani and Lonavala . It has another outlet which is actually a food park in Wai . Sandwiches and Strawberry Cream is must try and are delicious. Sizzling brownie is one of the best i have had. It’s Wai outlet Food Park also provides tour of the factory and also sells house grown vegetables and strawberry all organically harvested.
I felt mahabaleshwar branch is much more conscious related to quality and service. Though this branch is relatively new but i was shocked with the poor quality of strawberry cream. Anyways, i hope they will take a note of this
So glad Mapro finally opened it’s doors in Lonavala so we don’t have to travel all the way till Mahabaleshwar if craving strawberry cream. Famous for fresh Jams, preserves, marmalade, toppings, syrups and squashes – all sorts of delights are sold here too. Mapro has also diversified into products like chocolates, honey, gulkand, jellies, khakhras and many more. Shop till you drop and eat to your heart’s content.Dinner at Lonavala has now become a regular affair in our household. The menu is limited and Jain variants are also available. Minestrone soup, veg delight pizza, hot chocolate are our regular orders. Oh! And how can you forget the huge crispy grilled sandwich oozing mozzarella cheese in each bite? Savor on some freshly made wood-fired thin-crust pizza, decadent chocolate cream and make your inner child happy!
#maproNo need of any introduction to this place.I am witnessing this place since Sandwich was at Rs. 40 and Pizza they used to serve at Rs 90(This was story of year 2005 when I tried it for the first time)Of course, its a mandatory halt for us , without mapro – your Pachgani and Mahabaleshwar trips are incomplete :-)In this pic , attaching their legendary grilled sandwich , along with strawberry with cream !!Agree its too expensive these days but worth spending !! Trust me.
