Captain drunk is a newly opened restaurant situated behind western inn hotel, somewhere in the vicinity of DMart and I had been to this place in the same week of its opening with my family.The place looks fancy from outside but wait till you go in, it’s even more amazing! We were warmly greeted by the doorkeeper and thereafter made our way to this beautifully crafted restaurant. What caught my eye, as soon as I stepped in, was a huge shark- human figurine. If you feel a bit left out, you even have jack sparrow to keep you company!The ambience is perfectly balanced with an oceanic theme and it is quite evident from the blue-green hue, to the wall painting of a map and to the name of the restaurant. It wasn’t just me but most of those present took one too many pictures with the figurines with captain drunk. It definitely is one of the best places to get all those lovely Instagram worthy photos clicked. Coming to service, it was prompt and the wait staff were cordial and friendly.We starter our dinner with a few drinks and starters which are as follows:Chicken on fireHung on two skewers, this starter looked quite fancy on 1st glance. I expected it to be as fiery as the name goes but it had a mild flavor and was nonetheless tasty.Peri peri wingsPeri peri wings came served with a side sauce that was finger licking good. Wings had a hint of sweetness to it and had a good flavour which was enhanced by the sauce that was served alongside.Potato headThe only vegetarian dish we ordered was potato head which came in a saucy preparation consisting of potato wedges, bell peppers and spring onions. The appetizer was a bit salty and less in terms of quantityB&B fish fingersThis dish was basically fish in a beer batter served along with crispy fries. This appetizer had a soft, very unique outer coating and fish was quite moist and succulent.To summarize my dinner experience, the ambience of the restaurant with all the sea detailing definitely sets the mood for a nice warm meal but quantity served was bit less in terms of individual dish price and that aspect could be improved on.
