Da albatross is a red coloured food truck that I saw parked outside Dmart. There are beautiful food images of the menu items on the side of this truck and I believe having a visual display of what a place serves is of utmost importance nowadays in deciding what to eat and what not to. And I must say drooling over these pictures is one part of mentally satisfying your hungry stomach until your food arrives!The menu reads ‘Turkish delight’ and being new to the whole Turkish food concept, I thought of checking out one food item to see if it pleases my taste buds before I dig into trying out the others. I took a parcel of Turkish chicken dorum which is basically chicken infused with Turkish spices. Appearance wise it looks exactly like a shawarma, however a picture of it as displayed on the food truck did not match with the one made for us. It was quite small and the base was thick but apart from this, it came loaded with a lot of spices, something very unique and flavour packed from the ones I’ve normally eaten.I compared Chicken Dorum to shawarma in most of the aspects since this was my 1st time eating Turkish food and it had a strikingly similar resemblance to it. A plus point of this item was a good amount of chicken filling used which was something different from shawarma people typically prefer.This was just one thing I relished from Da albatross food truck but there’ll be many more in the months to come. Until then, I’d definitely recommend one and all to give it a try!
