I visited this place last sunday for a brunch , the place is humongous it has outdoor n indoor , rooftop , rooftop over rooftop, mini amphitheater seating , indoor , a lounge . Kind of one in all . The staff is courteous and always happy to help . They also have so elaborate menu to choose from , well coming to what I had▪️Beverages – The cocktails and mocktails are fun to have , especially vit c brew served in a skull shaped glass with an inverted bottle of beer definitely go for this one , tried sunset and mist fantasy as well and they tasted well.▪️Starters▫️Veg – I tried peri perifries , corn and veg croquettes, golden fried mushrooms , chili potato ,corn cheese balls .. my favourites were mushrooms , cheese balls , fries and chili potato . The presentation of each dish was on point .▫️Non Veg — Cuban Libre Spice Wings : Satisfying to both eyes and tummy , tasted very good . Chicken was well cooked with Perfectly balanced sweet , hot and spicy flavour .- Chicken Dum Kebab : Kebabs are cooked meat with their origin from middle eastern cuisine and giving it a indian touch by cooking it and serving it in a clay pot is amazing . So Yes its served in a clay pot , and it is a gravy kebab so you can also have it with indian breads . I just had the kebabs and they were simply delicious .- Cajun Crispy Chicken Strips: Served with salad and dip they are the perfect blend of zesty, spicy, savory flavors that are sure to kick any dish up a delicious notch.▪️ Meals▫️ Veg Chinese – well I did not try it because I was non veg but i can tell you what did that meal include portion of each hakka noodles , fried rice , honey chili potatoes, Kimchi▫️ Indian Non Veg – Includes one portion of rice , 2 roti , 1 bowl of chicken curry , 2 pieces of chicken kebab . I recently visited Cuba Libre, Wakad and it was an absolute delight to be there! This huge outlet is spread across three floors, each of which are designed differently. From the rooftop bar, to the middle floor with a long bar setup and tables around it, to the dance floor in the bottom, the place has Cuban themed graffiti walls, and a spectacular view. I loved how the restaurant follows a theme, and definitely stands out given the sprawling culture of plush restaurants in the city!Me and my friends decided to order a bunch of things, so let’s begin! We began with Corn & Cheese balls which were deep fried, and okay. I am not a fan of frozen food as much, and these had quite a resemblance to that.Cajun Crispy kebab & Chicken Strips – These were deep fried spicy chicken strips served with mustard mayo dip, we added their Vitamin C brew drink with this one! It made the dish taste really good.Oven-Baked Prawn – A delight for any sea food lover, this one comes as prawns in mashed potato and cheese base. This was very, very well made. I absolutely loved the dish!Cigars and bullets – A spin on the classic fish and chips, I really, really liked these! The sauce and the marination were to the point! Love how well-cooked the fish was, amazingly done, super crispy.Cilentro Fish – Fish in a green herb gravy, this starter is not something that I would recommend as such. If you are feeling very experimental, then go for it.Mutton Seekh Kebab – I am not a fan of mutton as such, this one was however good. It had a great tang of flavours, and was spicy to the brim. Good!Chicken Dum Kebab – If you are someone who loves a hefty platter, definitely go for this one. I loved the innovation on this one – It came as a covered ‘matka’, and a candle. The chicken was well cooked, and the dish is served hottttt! We ordered a Brownie fudge sizzler for dessert. And it was a very good pick!I loved the overall feel of the place. It strongly follows the Cuban theme, and has a very rustic Cuban touch to its food. The interiors are fabulous, loved the graffiti on the walls. The seating area is comfortable, and the food and service are just lovely!I will recommend this place for anyone who is near Wakad and wants to enjoy some good time with friends, or family! This is a great weekend place too, if you love dancing, and want to enjoy some good food while at it.

I always used to dig their chic interiors, & Pub lunches at their other outlets i.e Phoenix Mall & Seasons Mall (Which is now shut down I think) . Good food and good company sets you a great mood. Me and a couple of friends recently visited their new outlet at Bhumkar Chowk, Wakad. Here’s what I personally think about it:Modern, chic , affordable, and sure to give a great time. The moment you walk in, you’ll have to take some effort to think. With this particular outlet, they’ve outdone all their previous work. Right from the servers dressed as if they’re in Fidel Castro’s army ! , to the highly accommodating sequential spaces , Ground floor with a decent Dance floor, sofa seating, an al fresco dining area on Level 1 with an open bar, and the terrace with yet another bar, and that view! Bottom line, there’s room for everyone, let’s hit the food! Cuba Libre’s food has always fared well for me, generally speaking. As with every Cuba Libre visit, we went for a couple of starters like “Cigars & Bullets”, a crisp and perfectly cooked fishy render!. The consistency of the batter was so exceptional, I thought if they did this with a whole Fried chicken it’d be crazy good! While this , along with “Cuba Libre Spice Wings” (Spicy chicken wings) are a comfortable to-order , you really can’t miss “Oven Baked Prawns” (Prawns cooked in a cheesy gravy, with a mashed potato base to the dish which was slightly crispy and made the dish rise it’s “Happy Customer Quotient” a lot more! Oh there’s one more! “Mutton Seekh Kebab” ! I swear I’ve never had such tender cooked Mutton Kebabs! Bang on flavours and a winning contender. For “Chicken Dum kebab” , I had super high expectations , considering it is supposedly cooked in Tandoor for a long period of time, covered in a Pot. They keep it simmering in its gravy for a while, which made sure the flavours were intact, however, the chicken didn’t turn out to be as tender as expected. In any case, it didn’t dampen our moods. For mains, as I said, their Pub lunches are quite good deals. “The Indian Pub Dinner” , is quite heavy quipped with roti, rice, butter chicken , chicken tikka, papad, pickle etc. All in all, your experience enhances towards the better if you’re with your friends & family! Cuba Libre has yet again managed to maintain consistency in quality! Hopefully it gets even more better soon! gastrowell.wordpress.com

Cuba Libre in Wakad was an experience I’ll always remember! The place is massive and they have created the perfect ambience for a rooftop place. They have ensured they have a separate dance floor as well, for those who are looking to shake loose. One of my favourite touches was definitely the Cuban style uniform the staff wears, adds a unique touch to the whole place.I absolutely loved the ambience and the vibe the places gives off but even better was their food. Good quantities and great quality!Below is a list of some of the things I tried which made my dinner perfect:1) To start off, go for the ‘Cigars and Bullets’. It’s just the Cuba way of saying fish and chips and they were absolutely brilliant. The wish was tender and deep fried in a beautiful batter. It was the perfect way to begin the evening. For all the veg lovers, try the ‘Jalapeño Cheese Poppers’, the cheese just made my day!2) The ‘Chicken Dum Kebab’ was my personal favourite from the entire meal! They serve this dish in a clay pot which adds a different aroma and taste to the whole dish. The base of the chicken is cream, cheese, mint and some coriander and it left me wanting more.3) Fish lovers, definitely try out the ‘Cilentro Fish’. I’ve never had a spinach puree fish before and well, I can tick it off my bucket list. Cooked with garlic and a tomato base the fish just melted in my mouth.4) For dessert I tried ‘Flambe Gulab Jamun’ which was YUM and it’s a great picture to have to!5) My absolute favourite drink was the ‘Cherry Fizz Bomb’, it had just the right amount of sweet for me.Overall, Cuba was an all round experience with great service and a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend visiting it next time you’re in Wakad.

I went to Cuba Libre, Wakad on a Sunday evening. It is really close to where I live. It is a pretty huge place with a variety of seating, rooftop, bar and some seating near and above the dance floor. So there is a choice of indoor and outdoor seating as well. The ambience gives you such cuban vibes along with the staff dressed in Cuban Police uniforms. It was a well off evening spent out there with a group of friends. I tried a variety of cocktails and food. Most of it was non- Veg(that I recently quit) but still my friend Tirtha tried out that portion for me and gave me a valuable feedback. The cocktails we had out there:1) The last word: Vodka + orange juice + basil + lemon grass + egg white. A little bitter and for that kind of taste palette. 2) Cow boy: Five major white spirits + blue curaçao + bell pepper + sprite. Pretty Strong a cocktail, I must say!3) Cherry Fizz Bomb: Correct sweetness to my palette, a personal recommendation!4) Dr. Funk: whiskey + fresh apple + elder flower + cherry bitter. I recommend this.5) Vitamin C brew: Beer base. Budwiser + Gin + orange juice6) Pain Killer: MOCKTAIL! Chocolate syrup + vanilla ice cream + Fresh cream + apple juice. A pretty filling Mocktail!7) Sunset Drive: MOCKTAIL! Peach puree + mint leaves + lime + soda8) Traffic Jam: Tequila + melon + orange + pineapple juice. Personal recommendation! The food over our plates were:1) Citrus salad, Chicken Ceaser Salad: Pretty refreshing and I love to have a small portion of salads always before I start of with starters or mains as it cleanses my palette. The citrus salad has a very sweet and salt combination along with walnuts and pomegranate. Chicken Ceaser salad has a pepper , mayonnaise satisfying taste and also has a taste of fresh olives.2) Jalapeño Cheese poppers: Totally crispy and cheesy at the same time. This is one starter I ensure to order if it is on the menu, being my favourite. this one was really good with cheese melting in my mouth.3) Cigars and bullets: Just like fish Fingers, soft from the inside, crispy from the outside because of the perfect bread crumb coating. It has flavours of mint, coriander and traces of spiciness which gives a tangy flavour to it.4) Cuban Libre Spice Wings: The BBQ sauce sinks deep into the chicken, totally tangy and eventually gives a tinge of spice. It is really good not like the regular wings that are too sweet.5) Cajun Crispy chicken strips: A boneless chicken starter, crunchy, juicy, with a taste of salt and pepper on it. No spice at all and is served with Mustard dip and has a bread crumb coating.6) Oven Baked Prawn: The base of this dish is soooo good! trust me! It’s a crispy base of potato with cheese. The prawns were well cooked and soft balancing the crispiness of the potato and softness of cheese.7) Cilentro fish: A spinach base fish dish! The fish just melts in the mouth with finely chopped garlic adding flavour along with the tangy spinach-tomato puree.8) Chilli Paneer: Yumm Yumm! Really very soft with a flavour of amazing spice. The paneer is really very soft and well cooked along with sautéed onions and green pepper.9) Mutton Seekh Kebab: Very soft meat and for the ones who like it spicy, This is your game!10) Chicken Dum Kebab: A very Creamy Tandoor dish served in a pot that adds the earthen flavour to the marinated chicken tikka in cream, coriander and chilli. For people who like to have a heavy dish at one go without excess spice. -Summed up with some pumped up music, Commercial and Bollywood is what I heard that day. Do follow them on Instagram for instant updates on the gigs that happen out there.- Good service and very helpful staff.- Good place to chill with good tid- bites to eat with friends and family in a cuban environment.Cheers,Aristo

I was at Cuba Libre that’s newly opened up in Wakad and boy, what a place! It’s magnificent. Located on the Pune-Bangalore highway, next to Ginger hotel, Cuba Libre is massive! It occupies three floors, each designed to provide an exciting experience. The bottom-most section has a dance floor, the midsection has a looooong bar with tables and Cuban themed graffiti walls, and the cherry on the cake is their rooftop bar that provides a spectacular view!Tbh, I cannot stress enough about how amazing the interiors of this place are, I love the vibe of Cuba — it’s very chic, very fun and classy. There are limited theme restaurants or lounges in Wakad, which gives Cuba an edge over others. We tried a whole bunch of starters, main course, and cocktails and my overall experience was fantastic. I’m going to list down the must-haves in Cuba to make your order easier when you visit this place. :)Cigars and bullets: It’s like the modern version of fish and chips, but only better! The batter was crisp and the fish was well-cooked.Cuban Libre Spice Wings: Barbecue flavored chicken wings with a Cuban twist, they were pretty good!Cajun Crispy Chicken Strips: Deep fried spicy chicken strips served with mustard mayo dip, they go really well with beer.Oven-Baked Prawn: I loved this! If you’re a seafood lover, you’re going to dig this. I couldn’t get enough of the melt-in-the-mouth prawn with mashed potato and cheesy gravy. I highly recommend you try this!Cilentro Fish: Don’t let this broccoli like looking starter fool you lol. It’s fish in a green herb gravy topped with fresh seasoning.Mutton Seekh Kebab: This can convert non-mutton eaters like me to take second helpings. I’m not even exaggerating. It’s melt-in-the-mouth mutton with the right amount of flavors and spice. Loved it.Chicken Dum Kebab: This starter makes heads turn! Chicken dum kebab is served in a covered matka and a candle! The chicken is cooked in a red, butter chicken like semi-gravy and is served smoking hot.Indian pub dinner: A full thali of roti, rice, butter chicken, two pieces of chicken tikka, papad and pickle, this makes a wholesome meal for a group of 2-3 people.Chinese pub dinner: Similar to the Indian Pub dinner meal, this thali has portions of fried rice, noodles, salad, and chicken chilli. It’s not too heavy plus makes a great meal to avoid hangovers! :DWe ended it strong with brownie fudge and flambe gulab jamun and I’d highly recommend that’s how everyone’s night should end haha!Overall, it’s a fabulous place, loved the interiors, music, the seating area, and most importantly I loved the food! It’s a great place to unwind with friends and family every once in a while.
