Taste was good but surmai tawa fry piece size too small , felt costly for that thin slice. When we asked for chicken chettinad it was not available , captain recommended some other dish it was good but we missed to taste chettinad. Wanted to give only 2.5 stars. Ambience is good But improve on quantity of food. Service was also bit slow
This place is bit overrated! We went there by seeing multiple hoardings in Wakad area and ordered few Mangalorean/South dishes but found them to be average in taste. What was good: Chicken Malbari curryWhat wasn’t great: Mutton Ghee roast, Veg ball Malbari style and Mix Veg malbar style. 3 stars for courteous staff, excellent service and pleasant ambiance.
I have visited this place by seeing multiple hordings in Wakad, it was a very good ambience and saw variety of dishes and i ordered see food based on their recommendations, not a single item was tasty or we can say it was highly priced as per the taste. Also bamboo biryani is just a hype it is not at all testy and very less in quantity and took more than half hour for preparation.Suggestions: you can get better taste in lower price at multiple places in Wakad only. This is not a South Indian restaurant nor continental. I would recommend them to give a good discount or make the taste better.
We went at around 7:30 p.m. only to eat mangalorean food..the ambiance is too good with a full bar section at 1st floor..south indian music in the background..very courteous people.food taste is good.ordered chicken green pepper , some chicken gravy, jeera rice , dal tadka , papad, vegetable green balls, basil orange cocktail..all were good in quantity and taste except a obnoxious incident in the food which i will not mention here..will go again just for the ambiance and manglorean taste..P.S. they serve 50₹ roasted papad and 30₹ for mineral water which is neither logical nor legal..
Woke up to an advertisement about Neer on the front page of the Food Section of the newspaper. It looked very tempting. We were their first customers that day. We started off with Chicken Shorba and Pepper Chicken. Though, I was not impressed with the shorba, my partner enjoyed it a lot. The pepper chicken (name is slightly different) was very good. Then we ordered neer dosa and chicken kundapur. I have very fond memories of this curry from mangalore. It hit the right nerve, was different from what I had before but great none the less. The bamboo biryani is the reason why I wanted to visit. We had the mutton biryani. The biryani was good and really hot. The manager and staff are very attentive and ensure that the table is cleaned immediately after every course and keep on asking if we need anything. I guess most people would love that but I found it a little too much. I wanted to have a meal with my friend and not be constantly interrupted. By the time, we finished our meal, we were full and satisfied. Absolutely no place for dessert.
The Good -1. Ambience : Unlike most restaurants this has a very pleasant and calm ambience with soothing South Indian music playing in the background.2. Food variety : One of the few places which offers Manglorean food. They also have the standard North Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine packed into the menu.3. Food : We ended up ordering the standard North Indian food because quite a few Manglorean dishes were not available. But everything we ordered were wonderful and on point. No complaints there.4. Service : Prompt. Staff is polite and are nicely dressed in South Indian attire. The Bad -1. Food options : The aren’t many options in the individual cuisines menu. The menu here on Zomato has more items than the one in the restaurant.2. Food availability : Quite a few items in the Manglorean menu were not available which is the usp of the place. Will definitely make another visit to try them out.The Ugly -None
