As far as I have understood, Amrita Chaat House has recently opened and is yet to make it’s mark among locals. The nearby fish and meat market is a deal breaker for many vegetarian diners/snackers who come here to enjoy a vegetarian snack. However, Amrita Chaat House, does have some good snacks to offer, they have reasonably priced freshly made Dosas, which are served with a general potato stuffing, optional cheese, and the traditional white coconut chutney and the sambar which is actually a dal! The highlight is their Tomato chutney which is actually close to the real thing. The Chaat is a different story though! I began my snack with the Paapdi Chaat, which was a mix of pre-prepared Papdi and Aloo layering, which was later topped up with some different types of chutneys and Sev. The dish was a total disaster! However the Raj Kachouri and the Basket Chaat made up for it! Not only did they have an array of toppings but were worth the buck and absolutely filling! These dishes are the signature dishes and are served with a smile by the guy who prepares them. I discovered the place at 9.30 pm when I was passing by the street and was extremely hungry, it didn’t entirely disappoint me, nor did it completely please me, however, I shall go back for their basket chaat! You too must try it if you live in and around.

Good and pocket friendly place. Pani puri is a must try. Tried aloo tikki, which was average. Garnishing is beautifully done. They have raj kachori chat and basket chat, which is their signature dish.
