Quiet little place with polite staff. Both veg and chicken thalis were amazing. Total bill was 190. They kept asking if we needed a refill of anything. About taste – you’ll love it if you’re from Odisha, Bengal, Bihar, UP etc and are looking for home-like food. Really good homestyle chicken curry with 4 pieces, based on my friend’s review, since I’m a vegetarian. All other items were served fresh, delicious and in good amounts.Food – 5 (Great quality and quantity)Price – 5 (Best budget thali for a clean, air conditioned restaurant. Better than spending 200+ for oily, tasteless thalis in big shot eateries)Ambience – 5 (Clean, compact, quiet, air conditioned. Good place to eat. Worst food. Rice too thick. Not worth money. Too much oil in sabjis. Even roadside odiya dhabas serve better food at half rate. I don’t recommend at all.
Deshi Ranna is one of the best contemporary and traditional eateries in town. Situated at the entrance of Galaxia Gardens, Infocity Road Patia Bhubaneswar this eatery has lip smacking evening snacks with a taste that’s unmatched in the city. The humble lunch it serves will make you truly feel at home and the price is very very economical. Worth a try for Deshi food lovers !!
