This was the second day in Pondicherry and we found this cafe for breakfast.I must say you should try the ginger tea here, the reason I’m telling you this is I was down with a severe throat pain but the ginger tea here gave me instant relief and I was all good to go for rest of the days in Pondicherry. We also ordered a chicken sandwich but I don’t remember exactly which it was but I think it was Chicken Mexican Sandwich which was equally good. We also ordered an Oreo shake which was thick, chocolaty and tasty.I like how they don’t compromise on cheese, chocolate, and quantity.So when we went the man who was at the counter only went in to make the dishes. I must say he is passionate about what he does. He takes his time to do stuffs but that little wait is all worth for. Till then you can enjoy the ambiance and magazine that’s kept on the table.
Honestly, terrible customer service. Imagine ordering your food and waiting for another 40 mins and calling for enquiry because you are hungry as hell only to be told that the food can’t be prepared anymore. Why would you have the restaurent’s status as open for delivery if it is not. And what stopped you guys from atleast asking the person waiting outside your restaurant to deliver the food to let the customer know that the food can’t be prepared right away. I didn’t even get a call so i had to call the delivery person to be told that the food can’t be prepared after waiting for 40 MINUTES!!! I kid you not. They apparently told him that the food would be ready soon when he arrived and it took them 40 minutes to realise that they are short on supply and the employees are not ready. This is especially disappointing considering you guys have better rating among the other restaurants. Step up your service. This is pathetic.
Pasta and nachos were good. Club sandwich had decent portion. The garlic bread was not tasty at all. It was just bread smeared with cheese and had a pungent overpowering taste of garlic. Chicken burger was cold and flat.
Nice ambience and delicious food. Feel good to spend some time at cafe with good food. Sandwich and shakes are one of the best in town and worth to taste.
