Honestly the worst experience ever, waiters are rude for no apparent reason and even the owner.
Pondicherry is dominated by french cafes, woodfired pizza joints and hence there are very few places serving some really soul satisfying south Indian food. You can have other cuisines during the day time but a south Indian breakfast is the best start to the day!So naturally we headed here on the 2nd day after having tried and loved Surguru.The menu here looks similar to any other udipi. The taste, though, was ok.We had ordered for idli, Mysore sada and rava masala dosa but the flavours were quite flat. Something was missing. The chutney though was really good.Good south Indian is almost compulsory for an udipi to run on and at Anand bhavan we were slightly disappointed.Hopefully they improve or maybe it was just a bad day for us and them!

A typical South Indian restaurant serving authentic cuisines. We had idli vada and buttermilk. Loved how soft and well made the idli was. Staff are courteous and service time is low. Pocket pinch was just 100 bucks. Good experience overall.
