Leaning more towards 3.5We didn’t stay at this hotel but at the other Neemrana property. However we visited La Maison property for our first lunch in Pondicherry in Feb 2016. We were immediately drawn to try the creole cuisine so we shared the Meen Poondu Kuzhambu (fish curry with shallots and garlic from an original recipe of a famous fishing place in Pondicherry) and Pachai Eral Curry (prawn curry cooked with mint and coriander leaves) and we had it with rice. Oh my God. The food was spectacular and the fish definitely stole the show 🙂 Would definitely recommend to try the creole cuisine. The property overall was a bit rundown and not in a great area so not sure if I would recommend the stay at this hotel because I have not seen the rooms and not experienced the stay myself. Would definitely be back for the food though 🙂

Stayed here during my trip to Pondicherry. The in-house restaurant, with its intricately carved wooden pillars and the beautifully covered walls oozes with the heritage feel Neemrana Properties are famous for.Tried their Breakfast and Dinner several times. The service is impeccable. The folks here are very humble and cater to your needs even before you ask. Owing to the very small no of suites in the hotel, the restaurant attracts fairly less crowd – which for good or bad, makes this place very peaceful where you can enjoy the beautiful indoors as well as the food. For the breakfast you have the option to choose between South Indian and Continental food. We tried both. South Indian menu changes everyday. Continental is fixed though (Crossiants, omlette, toasts & butter etc). Some of the items like omlettes can be customized and you have a variety of breads to choose from. We just loved the food. Cheesy Naan is a must try. Paneer Sonagrath stood out amongst the vegetarian items. The quantity of the food per is serving /plate is generous too.I’d definitely recommend this place.
