On my recent trip to Pondicherry, I stayed at The Promenade. Bay of Buddha is located at the rooftop of The Promenade. Everything about the restaurant is beautiful: the ambience, food, service and wonderful view of Bay of Bengal. We ordered Golden Fried prawns, Chicken Yakitori , a mango juice based mocktail named Spice it Up, Chili coriander fried rice with chicken, Burnt garlic chicken noodles and Chili fish with gravy.We didn’t like Golden fried prawns as those were not crispy and had a raw flavour. But the remaining dishes were perfect. Will definitely recommend Bay of Buddha to all pan Asian food lovers visiting Pondicherry.
Finally a good place for oriental cuisine in Pondicherry..Was disappointed with many so called chinese experts like red box,Wang’s or Asian house.Third floor promenade,this place is awesome with it looks..Just imagine a terrace garden with such a good ambience..Service is bit slow but food is worth the wait..Basil cheesecake was awesome too..
