There was not one thing that disappointed me here. The food was just cooked perfect. Chicken Tikka sizzler was so delicious and the veggies just perfect. And loved the bacon wrapped chicken. The ambience is cool and comfortable. Inspire of the hotel being located at the most happening place of the city the restaurant was jus calm and peaceful.
The food was to die for. I thoroughly enjoyed the main courses. We had ordered a Thai dish along with a beef main course. Both the dishes was delicious however, one more garlic bread could be given graciously. The drinks were good too. The prices are worth the ambience and food. I’m coming back again for sure!
I actually planned on visiting another roof top restaurant nearby but which was closed because of the rains and this seemed a very suitable option considering we as a couple were on a romantic sojourn after many days.We weren’t that hungry so directly ordered the mains. They have a sea food fest going on presently but I was more tempted by the offer of the availability of a T Bone Steak and went ahead with it.The steak weighed almost 450 gms and was served with some very creamy mashed potatoes buttered up just to the perfect extent. The barbeque sauce on the side was freshly made, creamy and correctly spiced. The Grilled vegetables were the classic ones that is neither too burned up nor too under done as to be soggy. The meat unfortunately looked as if it was not that fresh and cooked on the grill right from the freezer. It tasted quite good but thats from the Garlic and burnt rosemary but the texture of the meat was very chewy and I had to simply leave out the fatty portion otherwise I would have needed a set of dentures to chew through them. The server who took my order forgot to ask me how I want my steak done and which I generally prefer medium rare or rare and also I too forgot to tell them the same. The end result was the steak was almost well done losing all its elasticity and pinkness which should have been visible on cutting it.My wife ordered the Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani and there is not one word I can mention about it since it was exactly a Biryani but rather some yellow lightly spiced rice with chunks of mutton and a very thick raita. It does not even merit a mention here in the review. The head chef Mr.Mohan runs a tight ship and it seems their expertise is in Sea Good and thats what you should try here. The price seemed slightly on the higher side but thats the takeaway for the ambience, sea view location and the great service.
One of the best place in Pondi to eat some good food right next to sea. Staff members are very attentive. We tried there veg sizzler and 3 slices of cottage cheese was mind blowing.Definitely this place is not pocket friendly and may cost if you dine lavishly.
