Chitra’s Cuisine is probably the best restaurant/place in the whole Pondicherry. In my 3 days trip to Pondicherry, i had the best experience at this place only. We were all sceptical to visit this place considering the reviews, but i think we made a good decision by going at this place.The food is really great! We liked everything we ordered. The quantity is also pretty well!The ambience can be better but it’s not bad either.The staff and service was also very good. We had no issues regarding that at all. What really made me like this restaurant is the pricing! The pricing is really very competitive and cheap compared to other restaurants nearby. We had a great experience in terms of time well spent and quality and quantity.Good work! Keep it up!
I have ordered from Chitra’s Cuisine several times which is why I know that their food is quite spicy. I placed an order via zomato and followed it up with a call, speaking directly to the Manager and requesting him to make the prawns and Palak Paneer absolutely NON spicy as it was meant for children. He assured me it would be done. Order is delivered – one bite of each dish and we know it is absolutely inedible. They had made no effort to take my request seriously. I called and spoke the the Manager again, informing him of the oversight at their end. Instead of apologizing and offering to either send replacements or extend a credit note for the two items, he was rude and shot down every option to compensate for this blunder that the restaurant had made. Had i been dining in the restaurant, he couldnt have got away with this but he took good advantage of it being a delivery. I also complained to Zomato but received a very poor response from them as well. The other two items were consequently ordered from Food Fun which Im glad to have done as the taste of the dish was a lot better than Chitra’s Cuisine as was their attentiveness to our request. This arrogance and lack of accountability has cost CS a regular customer but Im sure they dont really care. As for Zomato – please wake up to the needs of your customers otherwise someone else will take your place.
The service of this restaurant is very very poor. They don’t even know what you have ordered and bring cold food. Non-veg food was not good. They serve the same masala with some of the dishes which is not really good.I do not recommend this restaurant.

Food is very good though expensive.Located in a nice place.Service is very bad.We (2 people) have occupied 4 seater table ,after a while, server brought 2 more people to sit along side with us,which we normally don’t expect in such bars unless it is govt run bar.Also,they are charing 8 percent of service charge.Servers need to be trained properly.
Was gud place to hangout. Good food and gud music. There was quite delay in serving starters. Prices were doubled than I visited it before and zomato shows older menu card.
