There are a lot of barbeque cum buffet joints in Ludhiana and all of them have their USPs. GT Road’s barbecue might not be at the same level as Barbecue Nation but it makes up for it with its wider menu, traditional decor and rustic cutlery.For around 600 a head, the place offers 4 starters on the grill, another 3-4 served on the table, 5-6 different types of chaat, a decent buffet spread and nearly 20 types of deserts. The staff is more than willing to customise things as per your palate. But I can understand why a lot of reviews mention the poor service because the service can actually be a bit of hit and miss – prompt at times and sometimes incompetent despite 2-3 reminders.In terms of the food – the bhelpuri served in mini buckets stands out both for presentation as well as fresh and crunch taste. The papdi chaat and palak patta chaat were also good. For deserts we loved the besan laddu and brownie. But avoid the pasta – after all this place is essentially for North Indian food. Even the biryani was so so and the laal mirchi naan was served slightly raw.The concept of GT Road comes from the actual Grand Trunk road that connects Chittagong to Kabul via most of Eastern and Northern India and Pakistan. The menu is inspired by specialities served on various pit stops on this route. Give the place a try. It was surprisingly only half full even on a Sunday lunch despite rates being very competitive and a decent location in Silver Arc mall.

However, in desserts only jalebi rabri was worth eating except that other sweet dish need to be more fresh and could have better variety like pastries or puddings!Otherwise, its an excellent overall package !!

Worst food,too spicy,poor management..Worst ever monchow soup.bad Dali bhalla chat and zero quality..very bad experience.we only went their due to location in mall.wll never visit again..Not even a single thing we have order was tasty..we even wants to meet their chef but they said he has left for day..
Worst experience. Snacks were cold and stale. Manchow soup was average. All the veg main course was tasteless. Kadhi pakora was watery. Rice were uncooked and couldnt appreciate flavour of dum biryani. And at last, the desserts, gulab kheer was bitter and curdy. Poor service. No courtesy of staff. Friday night ruined. A tortorus experience.
