Quite an old dhaba situated in the Town Hall of Amritsar. There’s always a long queue and a waiting of almost 45 mins no matter what day or time but it’s totally worth the wait. When we finally went it and started placing our order they told us most of the things weren’t available, maybe because it was late in the night so we ordered from the list of items available. We ordered lachha paranthas which came with paneer, chhole and daal, all of which were delectable. The paranthas were heavy but you can’t just have one. It was crisp with all the layers laden with butter and ghee. This place is a must visit for a real taste of Punjab.

It is THE place to visit in Amritsar if you want to experience the real flavors of Amritsar. We ordered their Thali with Aijwayein Parantha and Palak Paneer. The Thali had their special Dal Fry, Chola and Raita. The food was just so great. Definetly try this place when in Amritsar.

#foodiefat – On my recent visit to amritsar I this was on my bucket list to visit as it’s an 100 year old iconic spot, established in 1916 first in Lahore Pakistan after partition relocated at amritsar India, happy to have it here, tried their paratha thali its just so amazing, the daal paratha filled with ghee and so tasty just licked my fingers.Note that this thali can be shared between two as it’s very difficult to finish by one atleast being a Mumbaikar, also I needed to try some more stuffs over here. There is a huge waiting list before you get your seat so you have to be patient. They also serve the best firni I ever had in my life such amazing must try that..Follow me on Instagram – @foodiefat_nikhil

An iconic restaurant in Amritsar. Kesar dhaba serves a simple yet delicious food variety! We had a Aloo paratha and Lachchha paratha thali with lassi. The parathas are coated with pure ghee and melt in your mouth! My favorite was the dal makhani for which we ordered rice to finish it up. An absolute must visit restaurant, purely for their food!

When you are in the land of Kulchas and lasssi, you ought to eat at Kesar Da Dhaba. One of the the most authentic and traditional dhaba of Amritsar that serves lip smacking food. This place is atleast 100 years old and they serve delicious kulchas, Shahi paneer, dal makhani and many more North Indian delicacies. Sipping on Lassi here is an experience here and just cannot be missed. One of the best lassi I have ever relished till date. Highly recommend this place for everyone visiting golden Temple.
