Terrible food at the buffet. The Chinese gravy had uncooked vegetables. One of the guests asked for Sichuan Sauce and got a bowl of raw masala paste. The Restaurant Manager was clueless. He didn’t even bother to understand the issue and just vanished into the kitchen. The taste of the dishes on the buffet was absolutely bland. The cream was synthetic, the mousse was artificial strawberry flavour folded into cream. One of the servers was scratching his bum in the restaurant. YUCKS! Imagine the hygiene!!!!

Spice is a restaurant of Country inn and suites so if you are staying at the hotel all three meals are served here. Breakfast is always a buffet and lunch and dinner are buffet on weekends, on rest of the days its Àla carte. The ambiance is decent, view of the road is there, vibrant colours are there in the decor. Its very well located in the centre of the city. Rating according to me would be:Food: 3/5Service: 2/5Ambiance: 3/5Cleanliness: 2/5I won’t call it a great place or a bad place its just to do with. Won’t suggest anyone specially making a trip to try this place.
Stayed there for a night with family and our package included dinner and breakfast buffet. Being in Amritsar the foodies capital you expect food to be of high quality but very disappointed to say that country inn was big off the track. Right from the staff attitude to variety of food everything was below average.
Liked the ambience of the place. The dinner buffet was good and worth the price. The live music could have been better for a Saturday night. Very satisfactory service. The salads were delicious and the main course was on the spicier side. Had chicken salad, veg salad, fruit salad, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, mutton gosht, dal makhani. Would recommend for the pocket friendly buffet.
I have been to amritsar twice now. And with some new places opening up it is slowly becoming a hub for good variety of food. Country inn restaurant has a menu with good variety. From chinese thai to pastas and exptic starters too. Plus all the amritsari specialties too. We had tom yum prawn soup wich was yummy expect they put huge peices of galangal in the soup wich could have been strained! tandoori jheenga amritsari fish tikka both were excuisite fish fingers with tartare sauce was okish bolognese pasta and prawn noodle both were scrumtious. For drinks we has fresh lime sodas which were freshly made. And desserts we had gajar ka halwa which is a must in winters. And also shahi tukda which was perfectly sweet and yummy and crispy. And also their brownies with ice cream were heavenly. We had a great time with friends and we are definitely visiting this place again. P.s last time we had indian food so do try their daal makhni it is absolutely yummy!!
