The Grand Uniara is a modern heritage hotel built near Trimurti Circle JLN Marg. It falls in the luxury Hotel category and has different restaurant to suit your choice. Satva for pure vegetarians, Arogo for global cuisines, Burj as a roof top Barbecue one and Stock Exchange as the night club. The ambience of the hotel lobby and corridors have been designed to give a royal touch to the place. The restaurant are bit small in area but have a cozy sitting with some eye catching interiors. The menu offers by and large the usual stuff one will find in any restaurant of such category. Couldn’t take notice of anything special from their kitchen. Aaloo Peshawari in veg starters are worth mentioning. Rest all were up to the mark in taste. However the laying of the food and its presentation was a big let down. Specially with kind of highly priced food items you neither get quantity nor you get presentability. Since it’s a luxury hotel the GST applicable here is 18%.
It was our best experience in grand Uniara first we had 1+1 drinks in Esko bar and then we had dinner in AROGO restaurant the food suggestions by server was great of smoked chicken and Dum aloo with excellent service .
I have been to Burj in Grand Uniara several times. Infact it used to be my favorite dinning place.But today when I went to Arogo I had a dreadful experience.We were 10 of us who had gone to celebrate my father in laws birthday.First of all the AC was not functioning effectively.Then we had to wait for the starters for almost one hour.When finally the starters arrived they were absolutely cold and tasteless.It seemed they were taken out from the refrigerator.When we complained they got us a fresh set of starters.We were served dinner after almost ,one and a half hours.Then laal maas was half cooked.The meat in that was not cooked properly.The naan was so bad that we were eating it like a papad.The water that was served was not cold ,it was of room temperature.There was no manager or any other sales person who would listen to us The chef was called from the kitchen.I am really upset about everything.The place which I used to highly recommend to everybody,became a nightmare for mePlease do not visit this property ever.
Arogo was highly over rated food was pretty average or you can say below average. How could I forgot that once we ordered dal makhani from this place and it was pathetic. Still we went there and ate. Ambience was nice, staff was courteous but food the main point was pretty low. Never returning back would have eaten at metonia that was way better!
Arogo is one of the 4 restaurants in grand uniara on ground floor.The ambience is really good and seems to be a lively place (we went on Saturday). We had typical North Indian food :• Paneer lababdar• Boondi raita• Dal • Butter tandoori rotiService is really good and excellent quality of food but the taste is not what we expected.But overall it was a good experience.We’ve been there more than 6-7 times.Recommended for families and couples.
Good Ambience,Well Behaved Staffs. Food was excellently cooked and served. Sher Shing and Sharif Khan, helped to had more better dine out experience.
