Mohan Mahal is open from 7 PM to 11 PM and can seat about 30-40 people- Advance reservation is needed.. Mohan Mahal is designed on the theme of sheesh mahal in Amer fort and contains lots of glass and mirror based art work and interior design. No natural light is used- only candles for illumination. Flashing light towards the roof causes designer reflections on the ground due to mirrors in the ceiling. Specially curated dinner was served which was great. Musicians play soothing music while we enjoy our dinner. enidhi.net

Excellent Ambiance. Copy of sheesh mahal. Lighted only using candles, no electric lighting. Excellent service. Added star to Luxurious JW property.

Dine in Majestic Style. It will take back to Rajasthani Heritage, when the entire Palace was lighted with Candles and Fire Torches. Such is the feeling right from entry to this regale dinning area in this Hotel. Candle light dinner in true senses. There are no electrical lighting inside the restaurant. Every table has a Candelirium and centre of the restaurent has a flour fountain and is surrounded and decorated with thick candles. The entire wall and ceiling has mirrors and giving the feeling of sheesh mahal. There are huge dark mirrors below the table where you rest your legs. See below you will see the ceiling coming down to your feet, such i the feeling. You feel, majestic, Royal. Food is served in silver metal utensils as if you are dinning in silver ware. The waitress are in Lahariya sarees and the waiters are in typical pants tight below and balloned over knee, and waiste coat in Rajasthani style. Staff is extremely polite and serve you with great care. There was live music going on santoor and the Tabla were really adding royalti to the dinning experience. Coming to the food, it is four course meal. starter, shorba, main course and dessetrs. 1st is starter. Were were servesd, maas ke sule, which is minced meat cooked in kebab style on grill. Seel batte wala chicken kebab, Roti pe Boti. There are veg starters too. If you are non veg, you may have to ask for veg starters. We tasted, panner as well as papar kebabs. In main course there were assorted rotis, Bajra, Missi and wheat. Hot and crispy. Then comes the palak nalli soup in non veg and a curd based soup for vegetarians. In main course the items were served in katoris. Panchmel dal, bati churma, Shekhawati chicken, Laal Maas, Safed Mass, Rice. Asked for veg items for tasting. Gatta curry. Next came the desserts. The Malai Ghewar, Jaipur Laddo and Laapsi. One word…delicious. cookwithreena.wordpress.com

Amazing experience, true Rajasthani paradise! A must if you’re in Jaipur. The variety in food is incomparable with every type of Rajasthani food. The decor is magnificent with the roof and walls entirely made of glass.

Mohan Mahal is a must visit for everyone who visits Jaipur. The food is delectable, the staff is very polite and courteous and the ambiance is absolutely stunning ! The decor for Mohan Mahal is inspired from Sheesh Mahal and the entire place is lit up with more than a 100 candles every night.

Mohan MAHALThis their most beautiful restaurant. The novelty about this restaurant is it’s made of mirrors all over the place, and it’s not lit by any electric lights, lit candles brighten up this place totally. Food wise, their speciality is the Rajasthani Thali veg and non veg. Starting from soups and appetizers. We had non veg Thali that had non veg dishes like laal maas, dal baati, papad ki sabzi, roti, rice, jaggery halwa and many more. This thali was to die for.
