Choki Dhani Resorts is a 5-star resort in the outskirts of Jaipur. For the ultimate Rajasthani experience, the ticket price was Rs. 900 per adult. It includes all folk performances inside, a walk across the entire village resort, and of course, ultimate Rajasthani feasting. We went there mainly for the Rajasthani thali. It included around 17-18 dishes and it would be your stomach’s challenge to have them all even with one serving of each! The food and hospitality was something you’d cherish after you go back to your hotel/home.=================|| PRO ||1. The experience you get is one-of-a-kind.2. There are lot more food, other than the Rajasthani thali3. There were 17+ dishes in the Rajasthani Dinner.4. The thali is completely authentic.5. The service is hospitable.6. The staff are very polite and communicates in the Mewari language.=================|| CON ||1. The food served is more in proportion than someone’s appetite. It leads to a huge amount of food wastage.=================About the Food,The count of dishes was enormous – Dal Bati Churma, Roti, Alu Ki Sabji, Gatte Ki Sabji, Palak ki Sabji, Freshly Cut Salads, Roasted Nuts, Bajre Ki Roti, Steamed Rice, Khichri with Desi Ghee, Desserts and many more. We went for the vegetarian option, but there’s non-veg available as well. Along with that, we had Malai Milk that had to be bought separately but it was the best authentic flavored drink I could have expected!About the Ambience and Experience,Chokhi Dhani’s experience is inclined towards the Rajasthani mold. When you enter, you see folk singers, folk dancers, street magicians performing their art. Campfires all around for warming. A temple in one place – Overall it feels like you entered a whole new village.
As first time, it is good experience to Rajasthani cuisine, traditional food and theme village is very nice. Menu is little less compared to other Rajasthani thali restaurants and I find staff especially who are serving is not good compared to same outlets,Overall good experience. Prices are on heavily side, it is bit costly.
whether you are a traveller or foodie, this place will enchant you equally. They serve traditional Rajasthani thali. but it’s much more than that. it’s a cultural bonanza where you can experience the culture of a typical rajasthani village.
Chokhi Dhani is a must visit place when you are in Jaipur. This place gives you feel of a rajasthan village, here the proper traditional rajasthani meal is served which includes gatte ki sabji, daal baati, sarso da saag aur makki ki roti, curry, dum aloo, lasaan ki chutney, pudhina ki chutney, sangriya achaar, white butter, khichdi, bajra roti, malpua and churma. The ambience is beautiful and worth praising. The staff was friendly and polite and their service was amazing. Also there are various activities taking place like folk dance, camel ride, live music, magic show, elephant ride, games, etc.Visit here with ample amount of time. Overall it is value for money
This was my second visit to Choki Dhoni and I had a very bad experience, though the food was good but the whole Idea of Choki Dhani which gets you excited was ruined. We went ona Saturday and it was packed, however due to rise in crowd, they have now started placing food in a buffet mode where you can serve yourself and the seating for it was also very poor. If you want to be served by them, then there is a huge waiting list of 20-25 people.
