  The staff here was unfriendly and rude. Inspite of me requesting them to allow me to join tables they didn’t agree. Although the tables were not booked and nor they had other guests to be served. Coming to the food, we had veg supreme pizza which tasted amazing and had loads of toppings, white sauce pasta which was pretty average, paneer tikka sandwich tasted okayish. We also had shakes and their consistency was equivalent to water. So you may not want to try this one.

  We all know that Udaipur is called as the City of Lakes and what if you actually want to dine just besides the lake!Well, you come to Jheel Cafe, dining here is an experience like none other. Never in my life have I eaten so close to a natural lake (Lake Pichola).The feeling is divine, now coming to food, I would recommend coming here to have your breakfast as they have an extensive menu serving Italian and English Breakfast to Sandwiches and Pizzas.The food is nice not exceptional though, prices are a little on the higher side but I won’t complaint only because of the view which you get from here.**Choose to seating besides the lake on the ground floor instead of the roof top and thank me later 🙂

  We went here on someone’s recommendation and it was totally worth going. Food was spectacular and so was the ambience. We sat on rooftop and ordered pizza, pasta, sandwich, lemonade, tea and everything was fresh and yummy. A must try.

  Such a beautiful place to hangout. Tried veg pizza, mix sauce pasta and cold coffee. Presentation was good. Food was also good. It’s a very pretty place to visit

  This is my second review of Jheel Cafe. I have been to this place on multiple occasions and I have always loved the food. It sure is a lovely place to sit and chill with your gang, while munching away some delicious quick bites!! In this review however, I’m not going to be talking about food, since that is their claim to fame, and well deserved at that. In my recent visit to Jheel, I discovered something, unintentional but glad that I did! The sandwich that I ordered came with a few ketchup sachets and I randomly happened to check it’s expiry date and voila! It was expired. I asked the attendant to kindly change the sachets and he, very nicely, went on and brought a whole another bunch of ketchup sachets, without realizing that all of them were EXPIRED. Eventually, he came and gave me a bowl of sauce which he claimed to have made in-house (I highly doubt that, but didn’t question). While leaving I asked the person to kindly throw away all the ketchup sachets and not give them to other customers since ALL OF THEM HAD CROSSED THEIR EXPIRY DATE, and the guy had the audacity to smirk at my face! I was stunned at his absolutely hostile gesture and I wonder what else they could have been giving to their customers that’s expired because let’s face it, if they can give expired ketchup, they may as well be serving stale breads and what not! I am so disappointed in them that I had to update my review. My earlier rating had them 5 stars and now I feel even 1 is generous!PS. The date of manufacturing mention on the sachet is December 2018 and should be consumed within 6 months from it.

  The very first cafe/restaurant I went to on my trip to Udaipur. A pretty good choice since I ended up having the best mocktail of my entire trip at this cafe. Located in Old Udaipur amidst all the hustle bustle this cafe had more than 3 levels of ample sitting area. We were happy to get a corner table as the best view can be enjoyed from here. The rooftop view is spectacular and you’ll enjoy your time here irrespective of how the food tastes like.We had the following dishes here: Veg Supreme Pizza, Penne con la Rosa pasta and Paneer tikka sandwich.Out of these pizza was the best- thin crust and absolutely loaded with veggies apart from being pretty huge in size. The pasta was also pretty decent and the toast served along with it tasted great.However the paneer tikka sandwich didn’t please me much. The stuffings were filling but the overall taste wasn’t much to talk about.For drinks we had: Watermelon mocktail and Cafe bicerin.Excellent beverages both of them. The mocktail was really refreshing and the coffee had three different layers of black coffee, cream and cappuccino.We were full by this time but we ordered a slice of apple pie as it had good reviews and was one of the recommended dishes here. We were glad to go along with the recommendations as the pie was really delicious with fillings of apple, raisins and nuts. Plus it felt pretty light as the sugar content wasn’t too high.The place is moderately priced as the total bill for all the things was roughly ₹1200.Lastly a visit to this place played a major role in my enjoying Udaipur as the view from the rooftop is spectacular. The ambiance was extremely soothing and since I visited during monsoon time it felt even better with a cool wind blowing on my face. It has been a month since I visited this cafe but even today if I close my eyes I can still savour the soothing effects of the wind.Worth a visit.

  This cafe is a surprise to someone who is visiting for the first time. It’s in the old City amidst the hustle of the city this 4 story building stands.This is exactly on the brink of the Lake and has a great view. The peace you get here is so soothing. I must say one must visit this place once.My take on this :Taste – 4/5Ambience – 4/5Service – 4/5Quantity – 4/5Visit this place and let me know how u like it.
