Santosh is one of the best places to have authentic Dal Baati Churma, that too at pocket friendly prices. Each thali costed 80 Ruppes which had 4-5 baati, dal, chutney, ghee and onions. The baatis are cooked in burning wood and thus have a smokey flavor. Churma was the highlight of the meal, and was cooked just the way I like it.
Pathetic. They were very rude, lair etc. I visited them today when asked for menu they said we charge 100/- for unlimited thali. After ordering they started showing their original colours.1) You can’t get ghee for bati 2nd time, it’s chargeable.2) You can’t get papad more than 1 since that is also chargeable.3) You can’t get even Dahi extra with very same reason.Also when I complained about this waiter started shouting at me saying it’s written on some wall you should have read(EXACT DIALOGUE WAS 1) TUM PADHE LIKHE HO PADNA NAHI AATA 2) 100 rupee me unlimited ghee kon deta hai pure Udaipur mein koi nahi dega, ghee ka bhav pata hai Kya??).P.S. – All other items were also not that good.
Were feeling hungry at 10:40 in night. Friend suggested santosh bhojanalay for authentic and good rajasthani dinner. In just a small amount of ₹70 you get a great taste of dal, bati, pudina chutney, sabji and gheee!! Must try and add a plate of churma for ₹40/- you will love it
