Visited this restaurant while on a tour of City Palace and its location is just perfect. Its better to visit here early morning since the sun is at your back and the lake shimmers beautifully with a view to remember. It happens only In India that the menu is displayed outside not to show the customers whats on offer but rather to deter those who would not want to spend so much at such an expensive restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful. We ordered one Cappuccino and one Mixed berry smoothie. The Cappuccino was your regular off the machine one and there is nothing special about it. However they laid out small snippets of Cookies which were excellent. The Mixed berry smoothie was quite refreshing and what made it better was the use of fresh berries. It is quite filling and works great for those who are looking to fill their tummies with lesser calories. They need to caution the Palace security guards outside who keep shouting at travellers to move on and provide unnecessary caution to have a look at the costly menu. Obviously this treatment is reserved only for Indians and not for Out of country guests whom they treat with humility expecting them to drop huge piles of Dollars as tip every now and then. Although, its more often than not that the Indian Traveller is splurging much more than the other travellers who are here primarily on a budget trip.
I think best part of the place is the ambience. It’s seating is next to lake pichola which would give you good experience of cool breeze flowing through your hair, while you sip your drink. We went to this place in the evening. Ordered a beer, chicken makhani tikka, water bottle and green salad. And the bill was around 2k INR. Chicken tikka was ok, well cooked. It wasnt much spicy because of the foreign guests, it caters to. Overall it is quite expensive and not worth spending that much just for the view.
This is a royal place to dine at Udaipur. This belongs to the royal family. Set against the beautiful lake Pichola, this place looks like straight out of fairytale. The food is great in taste as well as presentation. The stewards are very active about your comfort and preference. The order is quick. We tried a wide range of cuisines right from European to Mughlai – all tasted great. If you are lucky the chef would come to your table to ask for feedback. They treat guests with respect. The prices are on the steeper side. So a meal for two costed us around Rs 3500.
This is located in city place. Visited here for evening snacks and had good time here.sunset is just amazing from this place. Food is quite expensive but its worth of money to visit here.
If you want to have best view with luxury style dining with great food then this is the place for you. located at city palace facing lake pichola also known for enjoying sunset view serves great food with lots of indian and foreign delicacies. we had lunch there in snacks we had kababs and in main courses paneer khurchan with lacha parantha accompanied by beer and spiced strawberry drink. Kebab were fresh you could actually tell its minced lamb proper flavour and taste, paneer khurchan was slightly oily yet that was the best paneer i had actually melted in mouth. Refreshing beer on a beautiful day with such a view made by day but the best drink was spiced strawberry kind of a strawberry slush with chilly so sweet and zingy at the same time. you can go here for the view but they will not disappoint you with food. great food great view great service
Hey guys, its been a long time but I still remember that we all pay for a good food first then probably other factors effacts. Food was good, but so up to mark as they should have been trying to do it! Way so ok ok food then their name and fame!
Accurately named, this cafe is the perfect place to spend sunset hours near Pichhola Lake in Udaipur. We had some grilled sandwiches and Pina Colada
