Was there a couple of days back. Ordered white rice with nei fish curry. I suppose nei fish meant that the fish would be cooked in ghee. Didn’t seem like it, but it tasted very fresh and tender. Also ordered a fish fry. We got two pieces which we shared. It was deep fried and tasted heavenly. My friends ordered mutton kola balls, which they really enjoyed and mutton curry for their rice. Good non-fussy place, courteous, friendly staff, which is more than what you can expect in a run-down city like Madurai. The panwala outside the shop makes a good beeda. Chandran Mess definitely was not a mess.

Wonderful afternoon lunch had after a long time. Waiting to get other items in the menu next time.i recommend friends and family. And the service is so good and every staff members service has exceeded my limits. One of the best restaurant and it has been my favorite.
