This restaurant was situated just opposite to Saint Gobain Glass Company just before Sunguvarchattiram . Went on a work to Sunguvarchattiram and on the way back to Chennai around 8 pm stopped here for light tiffin. Ordered, Dosai, Masal Dosai, Onion Rava Dosai and Cofee. The price of all the items is nominal except Coffee.Definitely its one of the few good hotel on NH4Location – 3.5/5.0; Ambience – .3.5/5.0; Food – 3.5/5.0; Service – 3.5/5.0; VFM – 3.5/5.0 vijayslsl.wordpress.com

A haven in the highway – a safe stopping spot offering vegetarian food for hungry travellers. Me and my parents after a tiring day were super hungry and spotted this place while returning towards Chennai from Sriperumbudur, opposite Saint Gobain. The ambiance is pleasant, the place is air-conditioned although it wasn’t switched on then and there were no fans, making the place warm. Has safe and big parking space. All three of us ordered Special Meals. First came Sambar vada – the sambar was good, but the vada was ‘ok’, and there were lot of onions. Then came the thaali – had 1 chappathii, cups of sambar, rasam, curd, buttermilk, keerai (spinach), biriyani, raita, salna, kesari. Chapathi was good, but I couldn’t find any relevant side dish or gravy to have with it. Kesari, sambar, salna – deserves some credit. Since they served lot of rice, you can experiment by mixing any of the side dishes with rice. The parrupu podi+ ghee on rice was a good combination – We emptied the cup full of ghee that they gave. Otherwise no surprises and no compaints. They serve you extra rice, or any other item if asked. Finally ended the meal with fresh lime juice. Again no big surprise – a simple beverage.Cost for 3 came to 500 – Good value for money. Had this hearty meal for this reasonable price – Got such a peace of mind that I slept off the remaining journey till I reached my home in Chennai 🙂 :)Ambiance – 3.5/5Bang for buck – 4/5Food quality – 3.5/5Service – 4/5
