It’s in first floor of a building close to mothers grace restaurant( which is in the ground floor), near the auroville bakery. The place is small and not fancy if you expect it to be. But They are so GOOD. The feel of the place is rustic, small thatched roof. Simple table setup. The service and staff are so polite and good. The portion size is good too for that kind of locality where momos are so rare. The taste is delicious. You might find a pet dog too. Since they open up around 5:30pm, and sell out pretty fast, better to visit early.
Limited menu but so good. Portion size is extremely generous, quality is amazing, and price is very decent. Absolutely worth the lack of ambience but it has its own charm. Wish they would extend into Pondicherry otherwise it’s a long ride but again it’s worth it.
The food served here is remarkably good. The ambience is good considering the locality where it is situated. The service provided here is quite effective and they try to provide their best to make you feel at home. If you visit Auroville it’s a must visit place specially for it’s Momos served with the spicy chutneys.
Excellent steamed veg momos and nice sauces! Wanted to try this place for a very long time. I’m glad I finally did. Will be back for more momos! They offer also chicken and beef momos. Veg momos are very fresh.
The place is a bit difficult to find. It opens at 5:30 pm. The setting is very bad. There are just 3 tables and looks like the owners also dont expect customers visiting them. Since momos are my favourite, I decided to try them. We ordered 1 plate of Veg cheese momo. Suprisingly the momos were good but very expensive. Rs.190 for one plate momo is too much.
Myself, my wife and our son drove down to Auroville from Pondiicherry with the sole intention of eating momos. We passed by the place once because the board is tiny and it’s in the first floor. We rang up, got proper directions and reached the place. Presentation wise, you won’t be impressed but don’t let this deceive you. The momos are really good, hygiene is no complaints, and the red chutney like dip is perfect for the momos they serve. The momos were perfect and we just demolished them. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Auroville. It’s above Mother’s Grace. That way, it’s hard to miss.
After seeing great reviews on Zomato, we wanted to try some chicken steamed momos. When it arrived, we were pretty excited but later on after the first bite we realised there was less salt and not at all like a good momo. Also, we felt like every thing was overpriced whereas the food was not up to it. It would be nice if they work a little bit on their food a bit.
