Decided to have a good sunday lunch at this place with my husband and sadly, it didn’t deliver to my expectations. There’s very limited parking space since the place is cramped with 4 different restaurants so we had to park our car on the road. The ambience is good and looking at the crowd we expected a lot from the food I guess. After a considerable waiting period just to clean the tables coz nobody really bothers till you tell them a few times, we sat at our table. We started off with lemon mint juice – refreshing! And fruit chaat which was just diced pineapple, apple and pomegranate sprinkled with chaat masala on a plate. 0 points for presentation. Taste was just okay. For mains we had the aloo tikki sizzler – portion size: decent; the fries were soggy but the rice and aloo masala tasted fine so made up for the soggy fries and a dry aloo tikki. For dessert we went with the chocolate confusion and confusing it was! Not in a good way though. The menu said it’s half brownie, half choco mousse with vanilla icecream and choco sauce. What we got was a very dense fudge, a chocolate pastry and vanilla with just a dribble of sauce. The icecream was a saviour and we managed to finish off the plate. In the end we thought, maybe we should have just ordered south indian meals like all the other customers! Oh and price wise- reasonable.
