The price for the buffet is expensive and varieties are also very less . Taste of the food is also not highly appreciated. Ambiance not that great ,It would be better if they fix the prices as per the standards of the variety and taste of the food .. And also I would suggest them to increase the varieties of dishes being served, because i can say many restaurants in OMR serve better food for reasonable price.
We just left the so called five star hotel novotel’s bar which is presumptuous and pricy but not so great in terms of quality.Either ways after unnecessarily billing at novotel we got into ibis. And it totally made us our day.Ambience – We adored it. The colors, interiors and the lighting creates a class of its own. A bit too much for a 3 star I believe. Especially the electric candle lights on the table.Order – Though we glanced at the combo offer of 4 beers and veg/nonveg sides I wanted to surprise my friend with a taste of liqueur to venture into some smooth and tasty booze which is a rarity considering the cheap drinks offered by tasmacs that has literally killed the artistic elements of brewery and the mind. Since we were let down by novotel as I saw no disarrano I found it here but again an upset as the bartender said they don’t have it now and he suggested for another one called sambuka. And that was that. My friend was into a delightful 15-20 seconds every time he sipped the liqueur as we raised our glasses every time we took a sip. Once it was done we tried other liqueurs such as baileys and another one which I couldn’t recall it’s name. We were even given complimentary chicken sides apart from the salted peanuts which was delicious as well. The kodi pepper fry made it late but was perfect for the final Baileys which were kicking in.Service – Absolutely amazing. The bartender is quite knowledgeable as he didn’t shy off from explaining the contents of the liqueurs we ordered.Price – Being a treat and with moments to enjoy and cherish, though a bit expensive I felt it was money’s worth compared to the crappy novotel’s overpriced coronas and cheap sides.
We went to have our lunch , less variety and there is no AC. Ambiance is good but the taste of food is not good. Bit costly but the service is good.
A couple of friends and I went here few months back. The concept of The Hub is really great. It’s an open lounge bar right at the lobby of the hotel. It’s an amazing place to just relax and have a drink! A special shout out to the bartender. I don’t think i have had a better Mojito than that! I tasted the other drinks as well and it was awesome! If you’re looking to have a quiet night with some nice music and an amazing drink, this is the place you should definitely be going to!
