Go here for food (only veg) and not for ambience etc. this is one of the legendary restaurants of chennai. We went there for dinner and found that although this restaurant is famous for its South Indian cuisine but it also provides delicious North Indian dishes. We tried butter paneer masala here along with its famous parotta and butter roti. The dish was a little sweet but overall good in taste. We also had onion dosa and ghee roast dosa which were good too. Overall it’s a nice place for takeouts.

Their Sambhar and chutneys are prepared with correct proportions. More than anything it is pocket friendly.—Updated: Service is becoming too worst and we ordered poori last night which was too hard and they refuse to change.

It has been here in Velachery for more than twenty or thirty years. Small and informal road side vegetarian hotel. Advise only take out food, since it is not very clean. Tiffin quality is ok and the price is cheap.
I have been there multiple times for last 15 years in Velachery. Their pongal and vadai is the most economical and value for money. New comers please don’t hesitate to get in by looking at ambience.
Amazing taste for food. My rating for food taste and quality. Ambience is very poor can Improve a lot. I had almost every tiffan items it not even single item I felt bad
