We came here for lunch after a long and tired walk to all the main monuments around this place. It was the closest and felt decent place at first. Went inside and were told that we need to wait for 15-20mins. They wrote down my name but the wait seemed forever. People were just walking in out of turn, no one was even bothered to check and call people who were waiting outside. Total mismanagement. We ourselves had to follow-up and finally after almost 30mins got a table. We were feeling very hungry and didn’t wanted to experiment hence ordered thali. Never thought a thali takes so much time to be served. We had to check multiple times and finally we were served almost 20mins later. Service was extremely slow and it was the same across tables. Later we realized that the wait outside was not due to good food but because of super slow service which resulted in people wait endlessly both for food and for their turn. Taste of the food was very average and not at all worth 200/- for 1 thali. I think lack of proper restaurants nearby is one reason for the super expensive food. Try this place only if you don’t find any other option.

Worst service. We waited 15 mins just for them to clear one table. And then whatever we wanted to order was not available. The security at the parking was very rude. But thankfully the food tasted good. 3 stars were just for the food.
Staff were undertrained,they couldn’t understand what the customer wanted and very delayed service .
On the way to Pondicherry we stopped for lunch here. Went to the veg restaurant (they have both veg n NV). Sadly there were only 2 thalis left and we were hungry 8 of us. Still we ordered the 2 thalis and shared them. Besides that we ordered almost everything South Indian on the menu. The thali was out of the world. Simple yet delectable. Rasam was awesome and so were the sambhar and all the veggies. Each one of us had little of the thali. From the A la carte the bhindi fry, the baingan curry, the dal palak, the potatoes etc everything was super awesome. A must stop place for lunch. Pls try and go early so as to enjoy the thali.
Not at all worth the visit here. Visited this place after I got a recommendation and didn’t live up to expectations. Service was slow and the waiters didn’t have any clue about what was available and no information was given about the last order and when we asked for a dish they blindly said kitchen is closed. Not at all acceptable. Hope they train their staffs well in future and keep the cutlery and place tidy.
