Been here on several occasions! Went there recently for their Sunday brunch. Which turned out to be very average, their spread was quite limited and it lacked in the flavour department as well. Only thing which was highly appreciated was their service which is always a delight!
Considering this is Taj we expected the best buffet in town but disappointed. Plus point would be the spread which was extraordinary, lots.of stuffs and varieties especially the beef tenderloin was the best probably in the country.Coming to taste most of the dishes were half cooked or tasteless, chicken korma was like watered down version of the real south Indian korma. The MOST NEGATIVE part of the buffet were the desserts. Lot of of variety but all the desserts were just overloaded with too much of sugar like that you get at a local bakery. We were just taken aback with the amount of sweetness to each dish even the kids felt the dishes were very sweet. Variety of desserts were great but kindly reduce the sugar content of the first dish. It was not like a Taj signatory dish.
Dinner – BuffetPaneer tikka and chicken starter was the best i ever had, mutton dum biryani was juicy and it is like a better version of yaa mohideen with more masala, we also tried gilli biryani and its like they used same biriyani and added some mutton gravy on it, it was yummy and cost 1250rs which i felt overpriced! We ordered mocktails (alacarte) and it was horrible! It was not made in the bar i Guess! Mocktail served in the buffet was better!
They have a great spread at their breakfast buffets. Right from croissant and hashbrowns to good old vintage Madras – idlis and sambhar, to delectable sweets and salads. Service is impeccable.
One of the best dinning spots. Breakfast and Linch is great here. Wide range of deserts and starters to choose upon. Very yummy food making chefs.
I have heard about the Gili biriyani here from a loooooads of people and finally went to try it. It was 14th feb and they had some special mandatory buffet, we had pre ordered the food a day before and management was polite enough to accommodate our request. Service -5/5We just ordered a Biriyani and bottle of in-house wine. Biriyani was truly amazing with perfect amount of spice and the meat was tender. Food- 5/5Place was super crowded and loud and cramped because of the buffetAmbiance- 3/5
A wonderful place for a perfect dinner. Delicious food and taste. A must try restaurant for all and worth the money food! Especially the north cuisine is the best.
