Absolutely love the dishes on their menu and their inventiveness of incorporating traditional ingredients to make dishes healthy! the chlorophyll dimsum with red thai curry was a delight to the taste buds and was very flavourful. The ragi pizza was very good with the base cooked perfectly and loaded veggies on top! The salads are definitely a Must try! The beetroot and spinach hummus had a good texture and were very appealing to the taste buds, on a side note I absolutely loved their cutlery! instagram.com
It’s very rare that my hard core non veg friends appreciate a veg place and they loved the food here every bit. The place was serene, good menu and the food felt very fresh. If you are looking for vegan options, there are lots here.
For the first time in Chennai experienced such an lousy service. The people didn’t seem to care if you want to order or clear the plates or even getting some water to the table. On top of that 50 minutes after ordering the pizza they seemed to have completely forgot what was ordered. Totally fed up and had to leave in middle.
I’ll say this right away – If you haven’t been to Sante Spa yet, you MUST! It’s been the popular joint in town for a while and it’s completely worth it! This place was on my list for a while now – but with the frequent travels, we were only able to make it to Sante recently – and boy, i can’t get over how delicious the meal was.We quite liked the vibe of the place. It was all white, just how I like it, wit simplistic wooden furniture, and festive decor. We chose to be seated outside, ’cause the weather was unusually great for Chennai, andit’d have been an injustice to have wasted that.We ordered our staple – B went in for Black and White hummus and I asked a portion of their Crunchy Dimsums on Red Curry and Roasted Garlic Mushrooms . If you’d just looked at how gorgeous those Dimsums looked – and they were just as flavorful. The red Thai curry base added a dense, rich base to the crunchy dimsums. Hands down – this was my favorite dish here. The mushrooms were so buttery (if that’s the right way to describe it); the balsamic glaze added a certain amount of magic to this dish. And the hummus connoisseur approved of it too. So – they scored 10 on 10 in the appetizers section. For the main course, I went in for a Classic Mac and Cheese, and B ordered his usual – Piri Piri Cottage Cheese steak. We loved the Mac and Cheese – what’s not to love when it’s made right, eh? Now, the only dish that failed to impress us was the cottage cheese steak. It was probably the overpowering taste of the veggies that didn’t sit quite well with us.While we were quite stuffed, their desserts looked so tempting – we gave in and ordered a slice of Valrhona Chocolate Pie. This was the first time I tried a Gluten-free dish, and I must say – Sante does a superb job at this.I cannot emphasize how much I loved this place – the food was great, the service was warm, the portion sizes were appropriate – it’s a must visit, guys. I know I’m heading back there really soon, and this time, with my pup, cuz hey – Sante’s pet friendly too! (Could it get any better?) somedaytimes.wordpress.com
We couple of friends got together for a quick lunch meet up. One of us suggested Santa spa cuisine and I was assuring them that being a Sunday at peak lunch time 1pm we wouldn’t get a table for sure without prior reservation but we still wanted to just drive by and try our luck. To our surprise they were quite empty for unknown reasons. We were 3 adults and 2 kids. They had a couple table for 5s further in but we were forced to take the one right near the entrance billing counter. When we asked them why, they said that was a table for 5 adults. The table given to us near the entrance door was the exact configuration and I felt they were being biased as they felt kids didn’t need a seat? I was very unhappy and was not in a mood to make this an issue. We ordered a couple of entree and some mains and a desert. Nothing to complain in terms of taste but I felt the quantity could have been a little bit more for the price.
Never imagined that healthy food can be so delicious. Visited Sante Spa for dinner. The place has been set up beautifully. Their menu is quite exiting. We ordered spaghetti in pesto and pink sauce, pizza, nachos, spinach soup, avocado soup, spinach dimsums and sweet potato fries. Everything was amazing. Spinach dimsums in red sauce and farm hours pizza deserve a special mention. It was definitely a guilt free healthy dinner.
Visiting a vegetarian restaurant for a non-vegetarian is not an everyday thing. And this place surely ensured that you’d keep coming for more! The elaborate list of re-invented vegetarian/vegan food will surely spoil you with choices. For all the health-conscious people, Sante Spa is a unique place to indulge in something different. This place stands out amongst all other restaurants simply because of the healthy cuisines.AMBIENCE:The interior of the restaurant provides a feeling of serenity with dim lighting and soothing music. Elegant and sophisticated are the first things that come to your mind when you’re here. The ambience is calm and serene with a simple yet eye catching décor.SERVICE:The service was good. But it looked like the server had a bit of a lousy attitude or was disinterested. It might be cause of the weekend rush. But the food very well made it up for the lousy service.FOOD:Coming to F&B we ordered:Beetroot and Spinach Hummus – Honestly, I am not a big fan of Hummus usually. But this one was the showstopper dish of the evening. Both Beetroot and Spinach Hummus was spectacularly made. The texture was not grainy. It was smooth and it completely nailed the taste. I could actually the taste of extra virgin olive oil with each bite. The multigrain khakhra complimented the hummus really well. I am definitely going back for this dish.Whole Wheat Spaghetti, Kale Pesto – Loved the detailing they have put in the presentation of this dish. Well cook Spaghetti and veggies placed over a bed of beautiful green Kale Pesto Sauce. Another winner dish at Sante Spa. It actually looks like the quantity might be on the lesser side, but once you dig in, you realize its too much and since it has good number of veggies, it makes you feel fuller faster.Mediterranean ‘Phulka’ Burritos – When you think Burrito, you think Big and Overstuffed, it was quite the opposite in this case. The Burrito was stuffed with freshly chopped vegetables, very different from what I have had anywhere. The tamarind wasn’t overwhelming and was subtle. It tasted decent but not something I would go gaga over. The plating could also be made better on this one, because it just looks like a sad dish.Salted Caramel Mudcake – One cannot leave the restaurant without having this piece of heaven! This chocolate cake slice is served with caramel sauce. Unlike other cakes which are very sweet and give you an instant sugar rush, it was not too sweet or overly chocolatey. Loved it.OVERALL:Spa Cuisine is here to show us all that healthy food need not be tasteless or bland and cheese is not necessary to make everything tasty. A huge menu showcasing different versions of items does call for multiple visits and I for one, will be going back soon to try out their unique offerings.Ambience – 4/5 Service – 3.5/5 Food – 4.5/5 Price – 4/5
