The seating is simple without too much of detailing. The staff welcomed us with a warmSmile and helped with recommendations for the food. Everything was good except for the squid, it wasn’t as fresh as expected. The top picks is the parotta, madras fish curry and the pepper prawns. Overall a good place for South Indian sea food lovers.

A Finest sea food restaurant in Chennai’s prime location @ Nungambakkam which serves authentic food. They have live fish counter where you can choose fish of your own choice along with level of spices you prefer.Food was tasty but the quantity is less for the price. Since everything was prepared freshly there was a delay in the service.Overall best place to visit along with your family.

A restaurant for sea food lovers which serves fresh catches from local Chennai coastal areas from Kasimedu to Kovalam. The efforts they put in to get it fresh are great. Kudos to their sourcing team.Coming to the ambiance, this place is lit with pretty lights and a boat like hanging. The place could accommodate almost 35 to 40 people.Served us with Sundal and murukku, which made me remember marina beach visits, where I used to buy these for sure. Also the taste resembled the same kind.Nannari sarbath with chia seeds for the drinks which was chill enough to drink in mid of the food.Madras squid fry: Perfect squid had in recent time that too in a restaurant with less oil and more crispy texture and even the squid wasn’t burnt.Prawn pepper fry: Thumb sized prawns marinated well with pepper cooked so perfect since it wasn’t rubbery too. It just melted in my mouth with the pepper spiciness level higher.Crab pepper masala: Masala made of pepper tossed with freshly made crabs marinated so well inside. This made me remember my childhood days when my grandma used to make crabs like this to cure my sour throat. Chicken ghee roast: Equally red chili spiced masala tossed with tender chicken pieces and ghee. Gamagamakku nei when it came to my table.Mackeral fish fry: eraal fish from the days catch marinated with red and green chili masala and perfectly roasted which tasted so fresh as it is. Loved themLobster was my most favorite tossed with finely chopped onions and pure uthukuli vennai. Loved it to the core., and i dont have words to express the taste really.Raw mango and fish curry: reminded me of my school time where my friend who lived in kasimedu used to bring this kind of kolambu or curry with finely chopped ginger and mango slices in it. Tangy in taste is what all about this curry. Tamarind prawn curry: freshly cooked prawns with tamarind and potato puree made less spicy and a bit tangy enough. Went well with kal dosai and uthukuli vennai idly.Uthukuli vennai idly, kal dosai and wheat parota: Uthukuli vennai idly tops the list with more of uthukuli vennai topped over the idly. U don’t believe I was eating it with the butter initiall. Love it 3000. Kal doasi and wheat parota was a usual one.Mutton kari soru: People used to call it a gravy mixed with mutton curry prepared separately them mixed well so that both settle each other. The taste of masala is where the perfection is. And yeah they brought in the taste so good. Liked it too, and recommended.Lady’s finger fries from veg side were the only vegetarian based dish tried here and yeah it was so crispy with well chopped lady’s finger roasted with proper masala. For desserts had the kasi halwa which my mom used to make with more ghee and nuts. Same taste. Man this place brings in lot of memories into my mind back.I also made a second visit to try their mutton curry soru and nei chicken, loved it the same way as usual. This time we opted for a full fish grill, and we ordered viraal fish grill. They rocked it the same waya s before and the taste was even perfect too. They definitely need a lot of appreciation and more than that too. Coming to their service, I have been there thrice and vizhunthu vizhunthu ubasaraippu is what they do always. From greeting and opening the door for one to entry, then leaving with so much love in tummy and kadala mittai in hand they bring in so much happiness to customers.Kudos to the team, and please keep the work same way so that we could enjoy home based comparatively cheap sea foods in restaurants apart from boring my mom always to make fresh catch sea food from kasimedu.Ambiance: 5/5Food: 5/5Taste: 5/5Service: 5/5Cost: 4.5/5
