The very own food truck of Sathyam Cinemas is definitely my atti !Opening at 4 in the evening, Medhu and Keera Vadai are my pick in the menu.Medhu Varai was so soft in texture but it was too oily.Well what is Medhu vadai without too much oil?Coming to Keera vadai, it was very good interms of taste! The oil factor didn’t affect much here because you all know why.We tried Potato bajji / Urulai kilangu bajji. 5 pieces for 20. Umm.. I’ll take it.The taste was good but oil factor affected.Yes, that’s all for quick snacks!Podi Idly for snacks? I’m okay with it.8 mini idlies in a bowl, flavored with our own traditional idly podi.It was so shiny for the look! The taste was amazing. It is really one of the best podi idlies I’ve ever tasted. That’s all we could try because of timings. The best part is price. It is very economical. Everything we had is for RS.20. so I’d take it!Food : 3.5 / 5Ambience : 3 / 5Overall : 3.5 / 5

Couldn’t help resist checking this lovely food stall stationed at the Sathyam cinemas parking lot. It’s bathed in glowy yellow and red shades kinda reminding the CSK. The truck delivers the usual south Indian delicacies such as Idly, Vada, pongal, dosa and so on. We tasted dosa and pongal and both were really good. It’s comparable to what we could have inside in the ID restaurant. The price is affordable and value for money. Whenever Sathyam does something, you can expect their self imposed standard. This one is no exception and Southish could very well be the most hygienic and tasty food truck out in Chennai. Do check this one out!! #Southish #Sathyam #Foodie

I like the concept of food trucks and when i knew there was going to be one open right at Sathyam’s premises, i was so excited. The food truck is all colorful and and shiny with two staff, one who takes the order and a chef. I went in around 1800 hrs after a evening show (A Quiet Place – such a nice movie after a long time!!). I had limited choices and i chose onion bhajji, podi idly and coffee. The pricing is pocket friendly and so expect only a small quantity on your plate. Onion bhajji – four pieces, no enough salt, oily. Podi Idly – 7 to 8 pieces of mini idlies which podi on it, only the top layer of the idly was podi idly the rest were just idlies 😛 Coffee – decent.

Cheap, okay tasting and very very oily, may induce bowel movements. You get what you pay for i guess especially when you opt fpr a food truck. It did look better than a thalluvandikadai though

Truck food concept in Chennai is just picking up and Southish is one of the first few to start up in Chennai. A simple and neat place for a quick bite . Their Dosa Wrap and Churros Bomb are something I loved at this place.

I was impressed with their menu before, but when I visited the place a couple of days ago everything was changed. They do not have their old menu of classic dosa and idly. They now have plenty of rolls in veg as well a non veg. The taste was fine but would always prefer the old menu as it was affordable and tasty too! Service was pretty fast. Also, they did not have any sambar this time. Would suggest them to bring back the old menu!
