This is an local themed restaurant, specializes in the fusion of local Chennai dishes. This place has quite a subtle ambience with some great food. They have some unique dishes which are served excellently plated. Their bone marrow salli and duck samosa are the uniquest dishes which you don’t get elsewhere. They also have a pocket friendly menu called the thalluvandi menu.

Food that gives you a homely vibe, is a vibe on a whole different level. What I had on my plate was the paneer tikka, sago vada with blue cheese cream, Jhinga tawa masala, Kane fry, Charcoal tikka, Johnny hot paav, Bone marrow sali, Khumbh hara dhaniya which are all a must try!My personal favourite that hit my mood straight up was the jhinga tawa masala and the Khumbh hara dhaniya (mushrooms which were served with naan). One of the best things about this place is that all of their dishes are served with accompaniments which not many places do. And being located right centrally is another added advantage. An authentic cuisine with a twist is what the basic theme is based on and is done perfectly up to the mark. They also have special varieties of thalis/meals at pretty reasonable rates that you could go in for.

Food: A myriad of dishes at this lovely restaurant. Tried portions of egg paniyaram, duck samosa, neighs kari roast, beef marrow roast. The portion size of beef bone marrow was quite sizeable and got to say had very good flavours. Tried on roti and prawn masala as well, which was quite good.Ambience: The restaurant and the place had a rustic feel. The place could house around 30 member .Cost: With the costing per person ranging from 259 to 500, which does do justice to the quality of the food that is served

Visited them for a weekday dinner and tried quite a few of their starters and few dishes from their main course. Penning down my experience from this visit. AmbienceThey place has a crude yet glamorous feel to it. Slightly on the lines of the warehouse design restaurants. A well placed mock-tail/ juice counter and large dining area. PricingSlightly on the premium side. But thats something expected if you are dining fine dine at KNK road. The best hack for that would be to stick to thali during lunches or a starter with bread combo (they got plenty of them to offer) when doing dinner. If you are visiting with more members, I am sure you can figure a fine balance between main course and starters. Service We were there during their early days and when they seemed to have a large family dining in. So a few dishes took extra time. I wouldnt be displeased about it considering how instagram worthy their presentation was. FoodI have had a problem with fusion fine dine restaurants trying too hard in the past, but this one got almost every dish spot on. So much so that even dishes that I tend to avoid was made extremely yummy. Favourites: 1. Chettinad chicken grill: never imagined chettinad chicken in a grilled version and I loved how this was packed with flavours. My mouth waters as I type this and would have loved to combine this with flaky paratas. 2. Mutton sukka with kal dosaWhile I loved the chettinad chicken, if there is one dish I would surely try as a combo – it has to be this one. Great pairing and nice juicy mutton chunks and masala. 3. Punjab styled livers on toast – While I mentioned my top two favourites above, this has to be their best dish. Purely due to my dislike towards liver I put it third. Nonetheless, I polished the masala from the crockery with the pooris served with this dish; lip smacking to say the least. Also, thanks for making liver edible for me. 4. Main course – mutton kheema saaliWell made minced mutton thick gravy. Can’t recollect if they served us pav buns – but thats a combination I would love. Some minor fixes would be towards- vegetarian dishes – somehow they seemed less impressive to me (or was it because of how good the non veg was? Do let me know your thoughts in the comments).- Pomfret which was a skip for me. On a summary note, waiting for the auspicious month of veg only diet to end. Immediately after, I am likely to visit again. bingingbanker.com

This place is located in the heart of the city with some amazing indian fusion food. Not much of options for vegetarians but the ones they have a re simply superb. So the tandoor and fry is made with brocoli and gobi and is super tasty. The paneer tikka was equally delicious. And for main course k tried the kai Kari Kurma which was pretty tasty too! It’s a great restaurant if you are looking for fusion food and some good family time.
