  This place is perfect combination for food lovers and book lovers. They have their own small library and by the time is order is served you can check the books. The place has comfortable seating arrangement . The staff is quick to take the order and also very courteous. The food is good with sufficient quantity and the best part is this place is not at all costly. Definitely a perfect place to spend you lazy Sunday with friends and family.

  The only writers cafe that provides the French toast in Chennai i guess. The best item I would say. The pizzas are great as usual and everything else is top class with great price point. Overall – 9/10Pricing -10/10Ambience -10/10

  Good food and ambiance.Had to kill 1 few hours before my flight so just looked at tripadvisor for the closest, nice cafe and go this one. The place is well done with books on one side, cafe at the other and the display of bakery at the edge. A nice place to just hangout and relax. I was able to finish some office work in the peaceful environ. Ordered a juice and french toast. The food was served on a hot pan and was beautifully cooked and presented. Prices are slightly high. Staff is courteous but seemed a bit clueless and charge me the amount from another table. Sorted it out quickly, though. They have a small parking as well.Food: 4Ambiance: 4Service: 3

  Expected it to be serene place for reading books and to have lunch eventually. I was accompanied by my friend. Both felt the place was too crowded and noisy. That was a big disappointment. The book collection they had was uptodate and good. Coming to the food, corn soup was awesome. No words can describe the taste, so the cheese balls were. Paneer Sandwich was oke. Ordered coconut shake it literally tasted like cavins milkshake. It was worst. For dessert we had choco lava cake. Not so soft but it was ok to have.Vfm:3/5.

  The aromatic coffee is fabulous! I have ordered the curry cheese macaroni and marinara spaghetti with grilled chicken. Writers Cafe offers high quality of western food and coffee. Really like the quiet atmosphere here which is suitable for meetings, study and reading. #djmayy #nomnom #yapventure #yap_venture

  First things first – the food is yum and prices value for money. Yes, service is kind of slow at times and at times AC is ineffective. But then it is one of those iconic places in Chennai which retains the feel of colonial Madras. Surrounded by books, the set up is unique too.Must recommended : Chicken Pizza (portion size is huge) and masala omeletteAnd their masala tea is heavenly. Try with cinnamon rolls.A place you can go once a week at least.

  Rewriting my review after visiting them today for Breakfast. I had French toast with Nutella , Pancake with date syrup, tender coconut shake, Chia seed pudding. Toast was served fresh and hot in a pan, topped with sugar crystals. It was so soft and just perfectly roasted.Pancake- Soft and tender, easy to cut. Chai seed pudding- Never thought chia seeds could taste this good. same taste in every bite.Tender coconut shake- was sweet and had a few pieces of coconut. Good quantity. Service was quick and menu priced reasonable. I am going here again to try more from the breakfast menu. #englishbreakfast #foodblogging #indiafood
