After hearing a lot about it on social media, we finally got a chance to try out the massive thali served at Ponnusamy Hotel – nungambakkam. This thali is humongous, is made up of close to 50 items. It’s so big that it needs 2-3 people to carry it to the table.It has a plethora of options, multiple varieties of rice ranging from plain rice, curd rice, lemon rice, pulao, chicken biryani,mutton biryani. Then coming to the curries it had chicken curry, mutton curry, fish fry, prawns and vegetarian curries as well.This is one thali you should try when in Chennai. Priced at 1699 + taxes this is a once in a lifetime experience.All the items on the thali tasted great and it took3 of us to nearly finish the meal.
