Chicken Biriyani was too good. The blend, the taste, the chicken was tender too and well blended with the rice. Loved it! Guys please keep up the good work. Well cooked and served hot by Zomato.
+ Their Galouti kebab is a pretty wholesome order. Lots of meat for the price. Although the taste is not authentic (Not as well ground / Spices not on point). + Their Tandoori chicken used to be top class earlier – Really moist, juicy and cooked just right. Unfortunately in recent times, in multiple orders it has become average. Chicken is Over-cooked, dry and even burnt partially. Wish they will correct this. I have ordered via swiggy/Zomato apps about 25 times from The Tandoori Wala to form the above opinion.
The food was good. However there was delay in service of food. And the servers are in a hurry to push us out. And the bill contains a good 6% of service charge on the total bill which is not compulsory. There was no proper response when we questioned them.
Exceptional food with flawed service. The ambience is pretty neat with around 30 – 40 people approximately to sit. Choices in the menu are neither too much nor too less.Ordered Tandoori Mushroom for starters, that was enjoyable. The flavor was tantalizing for the taste buds. Portioning was acceptable for two people. Main dishes ordered were Indian bread platter which consisted of 5 varieties of Indian breads. It had Phulka, Paratha, Butter Naan, Stuffed Kulcha and Rumali Roti. All of them were excellent except for the quantity which we couldn’t actually finish. As for the side dishes, it was Butter Chicken Masala and Dhaal Makhni. Both of them were made to perfection & were relishable. To sum it up we ordered Lemon soda which was perfect too.Would recommend the same kind of quality and quantity that were sufficient. With such wonderful food came service that was absolute flawed and kind of spoilt all the effort taken in enjoying the meal. The moment we step in we find a television playing a random channel with a volume that doesn’t let you speak to the person whom you’re with. The service guys are least bothered about the volume unless they’re specifically told to put down the volume. The restaurant had no one except me & my wife as a result of which we took the liberty in requesting the waiter to change the channel. The first reaction was a frown from the waiters as if we had asked for something that was never meant to be asked. Amidst all this process the only thing that I noticed was one of the staffs kept switching off the air conditioner every now & then. Upon asking him why he kept doing that the reply that I get is ‘Sir, you have an air conditioner above your head, isn’t that enough for you?’ That was the worst thing that I’ve ever heard from a waiter. Well, the reply definitely fumed me up but I really did contain myself and suggested keeping the air conditioner on atleast till we left the restaurant which I believe should be around 2 hours at the most. One may find the review to be a combination of positivity and negativity but a waiter that lacks the basics of ‘Courtesy’ it isn’t going to help on the long run. Chefs being the backbone of a restaurant and waiters bearing the front end with such service isn’t going to fetch the restaurant the rating that it deserves despite such good food. I hope this doesn’t continue and the waiters are better trained to survive the competitive hospitality industry.
I had been to this restaurant quite a few times and the service is good and the food is also good. But I would suggest that you proactively tell them the meat needs to be soft if you’re ordering for the kids.
The restaurant is located at a prime place in T.nagar ( But these people don’t know the value of their location) closing time is 11.30pm. But the service will get stopped at 9.30pm itself. Even if you search for anyone to serve your food. No guy will volunteer. Taste is not that much great. Mostly a vacant restaurant, not recommended to visit. I personally had a worst experience on a Saturday evening. Ordered the food at 10pm and the food was served at 10.30pm ( as myself and my wife we’re the only customers dining at that time ). Price is not worth for the taste of the taste they serve. Simply say Total waste.
