I have seen this place several times but haven’t dinned in though finally gave a try with 4 of my friends. What we ate: chicken briyani, prawn briyani, fish briyani, sagar special briyani, tandoori chicken, fish fingers, chicken lollipop, egg onion fry, parotta, chettinad chicken masala and falooda.Briyanis: All the briyanis were served with a gravy and onion raitha. Fish and chicken briyanis were too good. Prawn briyani was bit under seasoned but favours were there. Special briyani consists of rice tossed with eggs and fried chicken it was ok. One thing which I noted in all briyanis is everything is different and made separately. They dint use the same base and just replace fish, chicken and prawn which is very much appreciated.Tandoori chicken: Delicious and juicy served with green chutney and onion.Fish finger: Was too soft and succulent. Fish was fresh. Guys emptied the plate in a second.Everything else we ordered was decent and good nothing to complain. Will go again for sure.

Worst Chicken biriyani i have ate in my life. Bought a chicken biriyani for Rs. 130 taste is bad and too oily and had only one small piece in it. They don’t serve right for the price they charge. And Tandoori which is undercooked and plain tasteless with uncooked masala in it. Worst Service. Not worth for the money we pay.

This place is located on the main road of zam bazaar market. We can find this place while moving in our vehicle on the main road. They have their barbeque kitchen in the entrance, in order to show what they have, so that people get attracted. But I went during their lunch hours and hence their barbeque dishes were not available. My motto of visit was only to get some chicken dish, so when I asked for the menu available for chicken it was the usual chicken 65, lollipop and manchurian. So I blankly ordered chicken 65 boneless, it was for 135bucks, if Im right I could sense the tandoori masala in chicken 65. Nothing to mention other than that. Apart from it, this is Mallu hotel so we can find the Chai culture after food here, sometime people come here for tea alone. They have options for aapam, samosas and other stuffs. Ambience is OK, decent with even air conditioning facilities inside.

I heard someone say Hotel Sagar serves good butter chicken. So I decided to try it. Bought a parcel 150 bucks. Sufficient quantity, it did taste good.

An all right kinda place.Went in to this hotel around 10pm on a Sunday night hoping for a decent and pocket friendly food. That is exactly what we got.Ambiance wasn’t hi-fi but was fine to sit and dine in. We were approached by a friendly waiter to take order and we ordered #Wheat parotta, #Shawarma, #Kothu parotta, #Ceylon parotta, #Paneer butter masala, #Grilled Chicken. Everything was decent but nothing too good. Then looking at the long list of Biriyani’s it was hard to let it pass, so we chose to order the best one of the restaurant #Sagar special mutton biriyani!! But, it was more like a tomato rice that was fried!!!
