Nostalgia is a good thing. It’s a great thing if one’s looking back over 25 years. Some things get better with time and Permit Room is an example. Cold beer, quick service, efficient waiters and the complimentary small portions of finger food make unwinding easier.
Great place where you get the best brands for a reasonable price. A rarity in Chennai. Food is great. Less oily. Though only veg food is available, drink options are more. The ambience of 70s and 80s probably. Decent crowd. The best place in Chennai if you want variety of drink. Check the menu, the prices are inclusive of taxes. Unlike many who don’t mention this
It’s a budget bar of you want to have drinks with no cutthroat taxes. The ambience is kind of poor for a bar, the selections are quite good and was unexpected. The snacks served were nothing great. Smoking area is an open terrace on the same floor, which was quite different from other bars.
