Idiyapam, cold. Cheese sandwitch not available. Paneer tikka i like taste wise, after eating three of them they gave fork. Price is more for the quality. Idly was like rava idly, not good. I used to love it, i came after almost 14 years and did not like it. Oh yes french fries, so less quantity for the price and sprinkled with red chilli powder
This place is near to the hospital where my wife got admitted for pregnancy labor pain. This place is easy to locate. Near pilot theatre in the opposite side. Parking of 4 wheeler is an issue. Ambiance is simple and decent. Service is also ok.One day, I got parcel from here for dinner. Got dosai for us. It was ruff, sour and bad. Tasted like old batter. Even Sambar and chutneys are bad. Chutney tasted like old and about to get spoiled stage. Bad experience. Price is reasonable. Never going to revisit this place.
Sree Raj Bhavan seems to be one of those old school vegetarian restaurants of Madras that is still surviving in the corporate Chennai. The ambience is not that great but seems tidy. You have to buy token for meals beforehand. The veg meals consists of limited portion rice with sambar, karakolambu, morekolambu, rasam, more, kootu, poriyal, kesari and appalam. Taste was good overall. I liked their karakolambu and morekolambu in particular. Kathirikai kootu was good too. Service was good. The veg meal costs just Rs60 which I think is good value for money. srirelishes.blogspot.com
Before Raj Bhavan came up, there was Udipi Hotel. Raj bhavan was a very good hotel back when it was newly opened. Chola Puri was my favourite. Idlis, Dosais, Special dosais, Onion rava dosais, Sambar rice etc,. were really good. Over the years the taste just went down. So much that, I no longer eat there.I would really appreciate if things were back the were they were..
Good restaurant! Good food for price, easy on your pockets when compared to other restaurants nearby. The food isn’t excellent but it’s good. The place is decent as well.
