Had this place book marked for many months and at last managed to visit. My experience belowDishes had – Non Veg meals, Vanjiram Fish fry, Prawn thokku and OmeletteFirst the positives, Fish Fry was very good but a very thin slice – 250RsPrawn thokku was equally good served in a small bowl – 240Rs Too costly for the portion served.Omelette – good with very little onion – 30RsMeals- rice quality was good didn’t feel the heaviness after eating – 160RsNegatives:They charge more than what is there in the Menu.Meals was served with a bland chicken gravy and quarter cup of crab gravy (for 2 members) along with beetroot poriyal and pickle. Believe me this is the whole thing they served with the meals – not acceptable for 160Rs, upon asking few times they brought an okayish wattery fish gravy and said since the hotel was crowded they took time to get it. Its a Wednesday afternoon half filled restaurant. They serve different combination of gravys for different people – not sure about their tactics. I saw them serving Dry fish gravy, mutton gravy and Prawn gravy in other tables. But not everything for anyone. The main negative is they don’t respect the customers who help them run their business.Restaurant had some 8-10 tables with around 10 people running around acting like they are busy in serving but not serving properly and a guy(not sure if he is the owner) keeps shouting at the servers and the cook, sometimes the customers as well. When an elderly person asked him to get the food twice, he shouted at him telling why dont you wait 10 mins when u can wait for 45 mins in a bigger hotel – Worst attitude they want them to be called as small mess but charge more than the bigger restaurants. 1 Star for this attitude. He served him just the rice and two gravys with no papad or porriyals. Will never visit or recommend this place.
This place was storming with people so I understood I was at right place. The have 2 branches diagonally opposite to each other one AC one non AC since it was too hot decided to go in AC but seems AC is also not able to to provide relief from this hot summer and lot of people making it congested. Parking four wheeler is big challenge avoid taking four wheeler there. The staff was having lot of patience dealing with so many people and they were quick in taking order and serving the same . Biryani was not there so had to go with meals. The meal was very bland with chicken gravy and fish gravy not impressing at all.The mutton chukka was very bland may be wrong time to go to this place it was too crowded and that may have compromised the quality .If someone is expecting ambiance it is like another AC mess so only if you are going for food it is recommended
A good perfect meals for my kinda south Tamil Nadu people. We crave for good non veg meals with some sides for lunch. Non veg meals costed INR140 at this place. Chicken gravy was a bit liquid and not upto the mark. Fish gravy was tasty and tangy as expected. As I ordered prawn thokku INR240 as my side, they gave me prawn gravy too which was watery but very tasty and I liked it much. Rasam was not up to the mark. Curd was too watery. On the whole it was a good experience but I expected more. A must try for desi south guys who crave for non veg meals.
