Pathetic Service. They took ages to just serve the water at table. This was the situation when the entire restaurant had just 2 tables of guest. We were a group of 6 veggies with 2 kids. The starters were less spicy. But the main course was good. The gap between serving the starters and main course and desserts (just lemon juice ) was eternal. The menu card handed over to the guests had very less options. Then after showing disappointment at such less options , we were handed over the actual menu card. The worst was reserved for the billing. The billing names were different from what we had ordered !!!!Racking our brains and clarifying we found that they had billed excess 1 water bottle and when pin pointed we were politely asked to parcel the water bottle (Please note the water was requested while we were having our Main course) !!!!Dining is not just about food but an Overall experience. High time the management does some revamp.
All Spice is a multi-cuisine restaurant but is functioning more like a restro bar. I ordered Arcot Murgh chicken biryani and chilli fish. The biryani had lots of coriander leaves that over took the actual taste of biryani. The chilli fish was very ordinary. The ambiance was good with a live music but the service was very slow. The prices are okay but still not worth for its taste.
As soon as we went inside the restaurant, the stench from the toilets was unbearable. We went into the actual restaurant and ordered tomato soup, gobi manchurian and panneer tikka. The server said that there was no tomato soup and suggested alternatives but we declined. The gobi was perfect. I rate it as the best in chennai. It was tasty, spicy and crunchy.the panneer tikka too was great but it was a bit sour from the marinade. Our naan and and methi mutter malai came next. The naan was good but large and the side dish was very tasty but rich. So, if you go here, you must try the gobi manchurian. This place is promising but has a long way to go before it can assert itself in the hearts (and stomachs) of foodies. No comment on the drinks and non veg. As I am a non-alcoholic vegetarian.
Best place for lunch. Briyani and kabab tasted awesome. Butterscotch ice cream my favourite one.
