Pathetic. I have never experienced this kind of puttu-kadala curry in my whole life. The Kadala curry was not at all gravy’ish It was nothing but water contained with Masalaa. Heavily Disappointed. One good advice. Please try to improve your quality.
I happened to visit this The Puttu Kadai based on my Mallu friend’s recommendation. Located in a small street in Saligramam, this small eatery with plastic chairs could occupy not more than 10 ppl max . If you aren’t much conscious about ambience of a place for the sake of some tasty food, I think it shouldn’t really be a problem visiting here.We decided to try their signature dish Puttu and Kadala curry, a popular breakfast option in Kerala. Piping hot Puttu, the traditional cylindrical steamed cake was pretty good with the delicate aroma of coconut placed in layers. It went well with Kadala Curry. Service was pretty good. Pricing is quite reasonable and easy on pocket.Overall, I would definitely recommend to give this place a try. You wouldn’t be disappointed!
I visited this place recently based on a huge recommendation from my friend. I was a bit apprehensive initially since the hotel was located in a small street. Also the hotel was small with a few plastic chairs for seating.However, my apprehensions were proved wrong after my first visit. I had white rice puttu with kadala curry. Although the curry was slightly watery, the food tasted quite good.Definitely a must visit for puttu lovers and also for a quick bite.
The food ordered was puttu n kadla curry. While taste of puttu was good the kadala curry never matches the authentic taste. The quantity fits one person but the quality needs to rise beyond imagination
Had ordered for white puttu with Kadala curry. Packing was average. Food tasted awesome. Would be great if they have more outlets. I would try the other types of puttu soon.
