  This restaurant is inside the city having an extremely awesome out door ambience ❤They serve pure veg dishes, the food was good not tooo great. Service was nice and the place was just calm.

  Visited this restaurant recently. A garden theme restaurant in the heart of the city! Their starters ate good. Loved their baby corn starters the most! We ordered their maharaja special THALI and it was a total disappointment. Hope they improve on their taste and quantity soon.

  The place is located between residential apartments and doesn’t have much space for 4 wheeler parking. It is an open restaurant (no air conditioner) so visit this place when the climate in Chennai is windy/drizzling.We had ordered Veg Manchow Soup which was not up to the mark and Paneer Fried Rice. The rice was tasty. The dry babycorn manchurian was outstandingly well.Muaaz Itstejass

  New desi tadka serves authentic north indian veg dishes. Ambience was too good and pleasant to have some great time over there❤️. Dishes was good and they served everything by on time. They have planted various plants around the restaurant. Over all my experience was good

  With sudden craving for cheese naan and with Dineout offer 50% on discount on the whole bill, New Desi Tadka was the nearest option to me. We went to the restaurant around 7.45 pm and were the first. Since we were using Dineout ‘s promotion, we could not order the thaali’s or sizzlers. Coming to the food, we ordered the following –Hot & Sour Soup – The soup had finely cut vegetables and little pieces of shredded paneer. The taste was very good and did not any additional seasoning.Hara Bara Kebab – A good portion of hara bara kebab was served. The kebab tasted very good with paired with the green chutney. The kebab was moist on the inside (unlike in some places wre it is dry) and a bit crispy on the outside.Chilly Mushroom – Very crispy mushroom sautéed in a mild chili sauce. Personally, the spice level could have been a bit higher but in general the dish had nothing to complain about.Chilly Cheese Naan – Piping hot naan with a good amount of butter, cheese and chilli’s. A very soft naan with edges being crispy.Cheese Paratha- My expectation for the cheese paratha was huge since this was the first time I was ordering the dish. But the dish served broke all my expectation since it was just a normal paratha with little semi-melted cheese on top. Even though the paratha was nice, it did not do any justice to its name.Kadai Paneer – I was not a big fan of the kadai paneer. While ordering, we were well informed that the garam masala used to make in the dish will not be smooth and finely grinded (90% grinded and was little grainy) which some people do not like. Since my mom loves kadai paneer in general, I took the chance and ordered. Even thought the dish was good, I like my masala to be grinded finely and not be a minor disturbance while eating.The overall bill came up to 747 Rs and after discount I landed up paying 392 Rs. In general, I would say that the place is VFM. But there were few minor issues which I did not like about the place.1. No car parking. When asked we were told to find car parking on our own in the main road of KK.Nagar.2. The restroom is inside an old unmaintained house and you walk past the hotels deep freezer, stock and other things. This gives a bad reputation on how the place is run.3. These use plastic chairs for seating with is uncomfortable to sit.4. Around 8pm many customers started to come and only 2 people were there to take orders and supply food.
