This place serves some amazing bbqs in this city , my favourite is their hot and sweet BBQ. . Let me list you down the specialties of this place:* special marinade with own recipe.* in house mayo / garlic dip.* served with idiyappam instead of kuboos.* the bbq is pre cooked for 40mins to get the softness of the meat* Inhouse sauces for their variety of bbqs.* proper choice of meat.* their special range of combols and milkshakes* they are open till 1 am.
When I think of Ashok Nagar the first thing that comes to my mind is Buhari or the Mc donalds at the junction because not many places are there to dine in.But I found a hidden gem here, located right behind the Pallava Hospital. If you’re not familiar with the location, Google maps can lead you to the destination. BBQ Bro’s is a small, hole in the wall kind a place, which serves real good stuff.I was here with a friend of mine, on an evening to try this place. A small, well lit, vibrant place with groovy music played at the background is how you can identify this place. It can hold upto 4-6 people on the go.Started off with a portion of peri peri and bbq sauce served with mayo and idiyappam . The peri peri was packed with flavour and turned out to be juiciy. Honestly speaking I’m not a great fan of BBQ Sauce, but to my surprise this was amazingly done. One unique concept here is that they don’t serve any of their dish with kuboos (arabic bread),instead idiyappam is served and surprisingly it’s a great combination.Tried the saucy wings which is also one of their signature dish. The spicy sweet sticky sauce was hard to resist. What I liked about the bbq sauce was it was not too sweet,it had the right amount of sweetness and was perfectly balanced to the point. I was also told that they make their own mayo and bbq sauce.Bbq sandwich was the next thing we tried. It was loaded with huge amount of juicy meat. Super filling and yummy indeed.From the beverages, tried the Green Apple mojito and Chocolate Oreo milkshake. Green apple mojito was delicious while the milkshake was more of a thickshake, just like the way I like it to be.A special mention to the funky seating. Something very unique yet comfortable. The chairs are made of wooden stool topped with a type which makes it really comfortable.Menu is very simple, one can have a short eats type of food or a full meal here.
