Possibly the best *Puttu & Kadala curry* I have had in ChennaiAmbience – Tidy interiors and comfortable family dining joint. Open kitchen offers further comfort on hygiene Price: very reasonably priced. Meal for four costed us INR. 480Dishes tried: 1. Puttu and kadala curry – puttu is dished out in coconut shell and tasted quite good. The kadala curry was rightly spiced and had a good balance flavours from the right dosage of black chenna, fried coconut chunks and curry leaves. I last had excellent curry in Trivandrum and had heavy regrets that I cant find something comparable in Chennai, thank god I did already! 2. Aapam Was crisp and adequately sweet batter, combined great with kadala curryStew tasted blah though3. Kuluki sharbatAnother impressive order. Had an imitation recently in a fine dining joint and that was possibly 10% of how good this tasted. Other items we tried: badam milk and tea. Both were ok. i ordered aapam kadala curry, paneer paratha and cutlet. i got 2 aapam and 2 box kadala curry. quantity was sufficient for 1 person. there were 2 parathas and 1 box raitha. quantity was sufficient for 1 person. food taste was good and it was neatly packed with banana leaf. good food at nominal cost. recommend to others.

One of the best foods (puttu & appam) I have eaten are from this restaurant. Tastes the same every single time. Hats off to the chef and the owners. Please visit this restaurant and show them some love. With portion size, price and service quality being awesome, It’s a serious value for money. For the caliber of food they are serving, they’re unjustifiably underrated.P.s : Paneer puttu is another delicious item they serve.
