I went with little hesitation as the location was not inviting. The people out there including the bar captain was not professional. Treating their guests like beggars/thief. They were asking advance money if you want to step out for smoke or attending a phone call. You cannot avoid going out for attending a call as the bar is in the basement. They have wifi but the service is only for inhouse guests. I strongly recommend the management to employ professionals. My experience was worst. Think before going to such a place. Nayagara down down 🙁
Positive: Spacious hall. If you are able to befriend the waiter, he will take care of you.Negative: Main hall itself is a smoking zone. Anyone going inside is at least a passive smoker. Very limited options. I felt cinecity is better place than this.
Our second outing in Kodambakkam that night was Tavern Bar. An underground side entranced bar which was spacious with an absolutely uninterested waiter. People who had seen us hopping bars at will would have thought that we were searching locations for film. But all we wanted was one place where we wouldn’t feel bad to have more than one drink.Not much options here so we settled for Royal Challenge Whisky and the same 7Up. The glasses, the side dishes and everything else was the same. It was like going to various stages in a game but facing the same enemies. The only good part about this bar apart from being spacious is the inbuilt smoking zone with exhaust and fan. Otherwise it becomes so smoky in there. My friend was relieved to go into that room and I too didn’t feel bad giving company. But not sure how it’d work on a humid day. constantscribbles.wordpress.com
