I ordered poricha parotta, it was very very very oily , and parotta was very soggy like it was normal parotta dipped in oil and it was not crunchy as poricha parotta should be.. I wasn’t able to eat even a single parrota.. very bad taste aswell. Only the salna given was a bit good.
You get some really authentic foods here. Noon meals and dinner poricha parotta are the must try here. Also the payasam that is made with honey should not be missed. And the ultimate speciality here which induces the taste in every food they serve is that they use only coconut oil, groundnut oil and gingelly oil made authentically from chekku.
Had ordered their fish meals. It had fried mathi fish, dry fish gravy, prawn fry, boiled egg, appalam, white rice, fish curry, rasam, keerai kootu, and beetroot poriyal.Was total VFM. A sweet would have been great.
Please don’t waste your money. I had ordered chicken and egg biryani and I got something that didn’t even remotely taste like one. It was so bad that we had to give it away to a stray dog, which also had a sniff of it and totally avoided it (see pic). Honestly, I’m a bit traumatized. The mutton chukka was uncooked and quite hard. I don’t think any other dish would fare well at this hotel.
Very good non veg meals, tasty and good quantity. And the price is very reasonable. Definitely the best authentic food. They use only chekku oil,. And not danger for your stomach. Waiting for my next visit.
