  This is my go-to place, whenever i want to have chilled beer in a peaceful place. The ambience is out of the world. It is very spacious and comfortable. The cost of drinks are very reasonable compared to other similar star Hotel’s bars. The best part is accept zomato gold. The staffs are very courteous and soft spoken, especially Raju.

  Had been pestering my hubby to take me to Munich to experience Oktoberfest with its huge tents filled with people imbibing beer from huge tankards and eating pretzels and bratwurst.Well he decided to do just that but instead of flying me to Germany drove me to the Vapor ,Restobar at Feathers hotel which was hosting the festival .The theme started right from the beautifully decorated entrance with the sodden barrels and empty beer bottles.Inside I was enthralled by the blue and white tent created around a Maypole and decide to sit there to enjoy the festive atmosphere.They had special offers on beer and a German menu .We were served liquid amuse bouche- shot glasses of Watermelon Gazpacho which set the note for the meal to follow.Next came the soup- Lentil based with chopped vegetables and Sausages served with warm pretzels.The starters we ordered were Sausage and Veg Skewers and the excellent German Chicken Patties which were so juicy and tasty ,I had to complement the chef on it.Sausages form a major part of the menu at Oktoberfest and we had to try the Sausage Platter which came with 2 kinds of sausages and 4 types of mustard not to mention the typical accompaniment – Sauerkraut.The sausages had a smoked flavour and a delicious bite ,could eat this any day.The other dish was Homemade Spatzle which is a hand made noodle dish famous in Germany.This was served with a delicious red sauce.The sausages went well with them.Though I was full couldn’t resist ordering the Chicken Schnitzel which was breaded breast of chicken served with a mushroom sauce.Very tasty indeed.The desserts that we tried were Bienenstich ,a almond and honey cream pastry which was not overtly sweet but was a bit frozen at the center ,could have been thawed to make it taste better.Black forest gateau is an iconic Bavarian cake and so we just had to order that ,but this one was a disappotnent.It looked good but I couldn’t really get any hint of Kirsch ,the cherry liquor which is used to moisten the cake,other than 2 drunken cherries which were decorating the cake.The service was splendid,special mention to Raja who took good care of us.I would have liked to rate this higher as I had a wonderful experience but for my tiny issue with the desserts.

  A visit to the Oktoberfest was on my bucket list on things to do and when I came to know that Vapor at Feathers Hotel was conducting it from 1st October through 6th October I headed there forthwith.Its a sprawling place and there was a raised area akin to the famous Beer Tents of Munich with the festival colours Blue and White. Of course we chose to sit there to enjoy the atmosphere. In addition to other Alcoholic Beverages both Imported and Indian made as a way of celebrating the Oktoberfest they have Imported STANGEN BEER @Rs 1500 Nett / Bucket, Domestic Draught@ Rs 1800 Nett for a 4 Litre Tower, Imported Draught@ Rs 4642 Nett for a 4 Litre Tower and also serve Bar Tender Special Cocktail @ Rs750 Net for a Beer Based Cocktail.While Beer is the highlight of Oktoberfest, it dosent seem the same without food and Vapor serves the perfect accompaniments to the Beer with their offerings of Bavarian fare.We started with an amuse bouche – a watermelon Gazpacho which was a taste bud tingler with a hit of Tabasco sauce.Next was the Lentil extract with Chicken sausage served in quite small cups. Ooh, This was a medley of flavours in the mouth, literally. I never knew that simple lentils could give these intense and satisfying flavours. I wished the servings were a bit bigger. To go with we had Pretzels.For starters we had the Mini German Meat Patties with hot mustard. These were so delicious and juicy that we had to ask the chef how he prepared it. The skewered Veg & Chicken sausage wre right up there in terms of taste and presentation. I would go there just for the food alone, it was so good.We had to try the Sausage Platter, without which the Oktoberfest would have been incomplete and Homemade Spatzle with tomato sauce and finished with A Black Forest Cake and a Bienenstich. A perfect ending to my Oktoberfest and now I can cross it off my list.
